  • Publication number: 20240099618
Abstract: Provided herein is a device including a housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall therebetween defining an interior, a fluid conduit displaceably received within the housing interior and having a proximal end and a distal end, the fluid conduit having a first conduit portion at the proximal end of the fluid conduit and a second conduit portion at the distal end of the fluid conduit, wherein the fluid conduit is configured to be advanced from a first, proximal position in which the second conduit portion does not extend beyond a distal end of a catheter of the intravenous catheter assembly to a second, distal position in which the second conduit portion extends beyond a distal end of a catheter of the intravenous catheter assembly, wherein at least a portion of the fluid conduit is configured to be antithrombogenic.

  • Publication number: 20240100306
Abstract: Provided herein is a device for advancement of an instrument into an intravenous catheter assembly. The device includes a housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall therebetween defining an interior. A displaceable instrument is received within the housing interior and has a proximal end and a distal end, with the instrument being one of a guidewire and a probe. The instrument is advanceable from a first, proximal position in which the distal end does not extend beyond a distal end of a catheter of the intravenous catheter assembly, to a second, distal position in which the distal end extends beyond the distal end of the catheter of the intravenous catheter assembly. The distal end of the instrument includes an antithrombogenic material, the antithrombogenic material being an antithrombogenic coating applied to the instrument or an antithrombogenic composition from which the instrument is formed, in part.

  • Publication number: 20240081702
Abstract: A flow restriction device may include a male luer connector portion, a female luer connector portion, and a flexible tube. The male luer connector portion defies a first lumen. The female luer connector portion defines a second lumen. The flexible tube defines a third lumen. The third lumen is in fluid communication with the first lumen and the second lumen. The third lumen has a diameter of about 0.02 inches.

  • Publication number: 20230309872
Abstract: A flow restriction device may include a male luer connector portion, a female luer connector portion, a tube, and an overmolded body portion. The male luer connector portion defies a first lumen. The female luer connector portion defines a second lumen. The tube defines a third lumen. The third lumen is in fluid communication with the first lumen and the second lumen. The third lumen has a diameter less than 0.025 inches. The overmolded body portion is formed around the tube.

  • Publication number: 20230309876
Abstract: A flow restriction device may include a male luer connector portion and a female luer connector portion. The male luer connector portion can define a cavity and a first lumen in fluid-flow continuity with the cavity. The female luer connector portion defines a second lumen and an extension in fluid-flow continuity with the second lumen. The extension includes a first end, a second end, an outer surface, and a channel. The channel is defined on the outer surface. The channel is helically disposed around the outer surface of the extension and extends between the first and second ends. The extension is configured to be at least partially disposed within the cavity. The channel and the inner surface of the cavity define a fluid passage in fluid-flow continuity with the first lumen and the second lumen.

  • Publication number: 20230309875
Abstract: A flow restriction device may include a housing and an insert body. The housing defines a first lumen, a second lumen, and a cavity disposed between the first lumen and the second lumen. The insert body can be disposed within the cavity. The insert body includes a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second ends, an outer surface, and a channel. The channel is defined on the outer surface. The channel extends between the first and second ends. The channel includes a first portion that extends in a first direction away from the longitudinal axis and a second portion that extends in a second direction toward the longitudinal axis. The channel and an inner surface of the cavity define a fluid passage in fluid communication with the first lumen and the second lumen.
