  • Patent number: 11947424
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to generating backups of applications. The user or administrator that monitors the backup is notified of those files and/or folders that have not been backed up in the most recent backup. Further, embodiments of the invention enable alerts to be initiated when a particular file or folder has not been backed up over multiple backups or over a predetermined period. As a result, the user or administrator can have a better understanding of the protection and lack of protection that the present backups are providing.

  • Patent number: 11895020
Abstract: In general, techniques are described for deploying virtualized cell site routers (vCSRs) capable of layer 2 (L2) forwarding to cell site servers to support management and orchestration of functional units for mobile networks executing on the cell site servers. In an example, a method comprises receiving, at a forwarding plane of a virtualized cell site router (vCSR) of a first Distributed Unit (DU) of a plurality of DU servers of a cell site for a 5G radio access network, the vCSR having a containerized routing protocol process and a forwarding plane configured to perform Layer 2 (L2) switching, L2 packets on a second interface for a second physical link connecting the first DU server to an L2 switch; and switching, by the forwarding plane of the vCSR of the first DU, the L2 packets on a first interface for a first physical link connecting the first DU server to a second DU server of the plurality of DU servers.

  • Patent number: 9998292
Abstract: Techniques are described for enhancements to Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) to enable a last hop router (LHR) to perform source discovery and directly build or join a source tree. According to the techniques of this disclosure, an LHR may be configured to receive a request to obtain multicast traffic corresponding to one or more multicast groups. The LHR may be configured to generate a source discovery join message including a request to join one or more multicast groups identified in the source discovery message and one or more source discovery flags. At least one of the one or more source discovery flags may indicate that the last hop router is interested in obtaining source information relating to at least one of the one or more multicast groups. The LHR may be configured to send, to a rendezvous point (RP) router in the network, the source discovery join message.
