Operational data is received from the one or more cash handling devices and utilized to generate historical data within a historical database. Optimization parameters are received for each of one or more cash handling devices, and the optimization parameters are utilized together with the generated historical data to generate optimization data utilizing one or more optimization models. The optimization data is transmitted to applicable cash handling devices to cause the cash handling device to update locally stored executing instructions causing operation of the cash handling device to dispense cash into one or more register tills.

Abstract: Machine-learning based modelling may be utilized to automatically select a particular display variation of a user interface to be displayed to a user of a specially configured computing device, such as a cash handling device used in a retail establishment. To provide user-specific display variations of user interfaces, activity trackers generate activity data for the users interacting with user interfaces of the specially configured computing device. A machine-learning model is then executed to select an applicable display variation of a plurality of available display variations for the user, based at least in part on the generated activity data. Thereafter, when the specially configured computing device receives a request to display the user interface, the applicable display variation of the user interface is displayed for the user.

Abstract: In response to a request for currency transportation services for a retail location (e.g., providing currency to the retail location or picking-up currency from the retail location), one or more currency transportation requirements are identified and provided as input to a currency transportation model to identify and/or assign a carrier and/or a financial institution location to serve as a final destination or an origin for the currency transportation services. The output of the currency transportation model is utilized to initiate the currency transportation services by transmitting a notification to a carrier-operated computing entity to schedule the requested currency transportation services.

Abstract: To enable customer-facing transactions between merchants and customers that utilize cash designated as bank-owned cash (BOC), a monitoring server monitors quantities of cash within point-of-sale (POS) terminals, such as self-checkout terminals having cash verification systems therein, and monitors levels of cash within those POS terminals designated as BOC and for which the BOC cash is reflected within a financial institution account associated with the merchant. Upon execution of a cash transaction at a POS terminal involving BOC, the monitoring server updates quantities of cash stored within the POS terminal and provides data to a financial institution regarding the cash transaction.

The apparatus and methods allow a customer to schedule, on-demand, liability transfers with a provider where a liability transfer may be a liability pickup, such as for a customer deposit, or a liability delivery, such as for a change order. The method and apparatus allow for verifying provider availability at the requested location and time, and may also provide for confirmation of the liability transfer. The methods and apparatus may also verify a requested liability transfer amount with an actual liability transfer amount. In addition, the methods and apparatus may employ business-to-business (B2B) electronic payments to transfer funds in, or out of, bank accounts.
