  • Publication number: 20220096558
Abstract: A method for treating preselected diseases comprising the steps of providing a therapeutic dose of a mesenchymal stem cell composition, the mesenchymal stem cell composition comprising mesenchymal stem cells harvested from at least one tissue selected from the group consisting of placental tissue, bone marrow, dental tissue, testicle tissue, and dermal tissue; and systemically administering the mesenchymal stem cell composition to the patient suffering from a preselected disease or diseased state through an intravenous injection.

Inventors: Erik John Woods, Shelly J. Zacharias, Sreedhar Thirumala
  • Publication number: 20210252155
Abstract: Disclosed are cellular compositions and methods relating to the use of aqueous trehalose media to suspend cells. A trehalose-containing medium can be used to inhibit cellular clumping, for example upon dilution of more concentrated cellular preparations into the trehalose-containing medium. In certain embodiments cells, after cryopreservation and thawing, are combined with a trehalose-containing medium to prepare a clumping-inhibited cell suspension.

  • Publication number: 20200383317
Abstract: Disclosed are viable cell compositions and related methods of preparation, maintenance and use. The viable cell composition can contain specified levels of cells, hydroxyethyl starch, and dimethylsulfoxide, and can be cryopreserved. The cryopreserved form of the composition can be thawed and combined with an aqueous liquid diluting medium to prepare a diluted viable cell composition that can contain specified, reduced levels of the dimethylsulfoxide and hydroxyethyl starch. The diluting medium can contain trehalose. The prepared, diluted viable cell composition can be administered to a patient.

  • Patent number: 10653397
Abstract: Disclosed is a device useful for preserving tissue samples after extraction from human or animal patients. The device includes a circular blade for taking a tissue sample, the blade being coupled to a sealing cap which mates to one end of a container. A retrieval port is also disclosed for extracting fluids from the container. Methods are also disclosed by which tissue samples may be taken and prepared for storage, processing, culture, or other analysis.

  • Publication number: 20160346432
Abstract: Described are sheet-form cell growth scaffold particles, and methods for preparing and using them. The particles can be prepared using punch or other cutting operations to provide relatively uniform populations of particles in terms of shape and size, desirably employing a stack of multiple sheets of starting material and multiple punches. Cellularized grafts and/or cell conditioned media can be prepared using the sheet-form cell growth scaffold particles.
