  • Publication number: 20070014034
Abstract: The present invention relates to a diffusion plate used in a direct-type backlight module and a method for making the same. At least one of the surfaces of the diffusion plate has a microstructure constituted by repeated undulation that can refract and diffuse the incident light beams that enter the diffusion plate. Therefore, the paths of the light beams after entering the diffusion plate are changed, which raises the luminance of the backlight module.

  • Publication number: 20060285037
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for mixing light beams, which has at least one cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) layer disposed between a reflective plate and an upper plate so as to form two mixing areas. Because the cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) layer has a property of reflecting narrow band-circular polarized light, the light beams emitted from a plurality of light source are mixed in the two mixing areas. As a result, the height of the mixing area is reduced, and the color-mixing performance is raised.

  • Publication number: 20050270803
Abstract: The present invention provides a straight down back light module including a diffuser plate, a lamp, a reflector plate (back plate) and a support. The reflector plate is located below the diffuser plate. The lamp is located between the diffuser plate and the reflector plate. The support is installed between the diffuser plate and the reflector plate. The support includes a lamp cover for supporting the lamp. The lamp is directly covered by means of the lamp cover for preventing the lamp from deformation that could occur because of temperature difference. Moreover, when used in a large-sized liquid crystal display, at least one pin can be provided on the support in order to support the diffuser plate and the lamp so as to prevent them from deformation that could occur because of temperature difference.

  • Publication number: 20050103803
Abstract: A sealing device for a container, which has a vault and an opening defined in the vault of the container, includes a skirt upwardly extending from the vault of the container surrounding the opening the in the vault of the container and having a distal edge formed with a series of teeth. A hollow guider is partially longitudinally received in the skirt. The guider includes a body received in the skirt and having an annular lip laterally extending from the body. The guider has a series of teeth formed on the annular lip and corresponding to the series of teeth of the skirt. The series of teeth of the guider is engaged to that of the skirt to prevent the guider from being rotated. A cap is mounted to the skirt for covering the skirt and the hollow guider.
