  • Patent number: 8325331
Abstract: A method for obtaining an incident angle ?i is provided. The method is used in a panel having at least one icon, wherein the at least one icon has a plurality of protrusions, and a light-emitting source is disposed under the at least one icon. The method includes steps of obtaining a distance W between two centers of two bottoms of two trenches formed at two sides of one of the plurality of protrusions; obtaining a half of the distance W; obtaining a vertical distance H between the light-emitting source and a center of the distance W; and performing an inverse trigonometric function operation for the half of the distance W over the vertical distance H so as to obtain the incident angle ?i.

  • Publication number: 20120231508
Abstract: A method of generating a barcoded Paired-End Ditag (bPED) nucleic acid fragment is disclosed. The method comprises: a) performing a first ligation by ligating a half-adaptor with one or two 3?-overhanging ends to a target nucleic acid to obtain a nucleic acid fragment with two ends each attached to one of the half-adaptor, the half adaptor comprising a half-barcode and a restriction enzyme (RE) recognition site; b) performing a second ligation by ligating two of the half-adaptor at the two ends of the nucleic acid fragment to form a circularized nucleic acid construct, wherein the circularized nucleic acid construct comprises a full-size barcoded adaptor; and c) digesting the circularized nucleic acid construct with a RE that cleaves at a defined distance from the RE recognition site, and thereby generating the bPED nucleic acid fragment.

  • Patent number: 7953056
Abstract: A polling method compliant to Bluetooth protocol is utilized for increasing transfer efficiency. In a Bluetooth piconet, a master queries each slave to determine the slaves supporting a predetermined protocol. The master determines a predetermined address as the instruction of the predetermined protocol. When the master sends a polling packet with the predetermined address to the supporting slaves, the supporting slaves can respond in sequence. In this way, even if the supporting slaves increase, the master only has to send one single polling packet for all the supporting slaves responding, increasing the transfer efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7623481
Abstract: A hyper throughput packet transmission method for a wireless local area network operating in burst and protection mode is provided. A first CTS frame is sent, comprising an NAV to reserve the medium for a duration. Upon completion of the first CTS frame delivery, a plurality of data frames are delivered to the destination. Upon completion of the data frame delivery, a second CTS frame is sent to reserve the medium for another duration, such that the previous steps form a loop. Delivery of the data frames comprises, a data frame is delivered from the source to the destination, and after the data frame delivered, waiting for an ACK frame from the destination within one SIFS interval. Upon receipt of the ACK frame, if the following data frame is ready, the previous steps loop, otherwise the delivery is complete.
