  • Publication number: 20120251875
Abstract: An end cover assembly of battery includes a battery end cover, a terminal substrate, an airtight insulating pad and a secure assembly. The battery end cover has first and second surfaces and a first opening. The terminal substrate is disposed on the first surface of the battery end cover and has a protrusion portion and a airtight ring, wherein the protrusion portion penetrate through the battery end cover through the first opening, and the airtight ring is disposed towards the battery end cover around the protrusion portion. The airtight insulating pad is sandwiched between the terminal substrate and the battery end cover. The secure assembly is disposed on the second surface of the battery end cover to collaborate with the terminal substrate for fixing the battery end cover and making the battery end cover and the airtight ring to press the airtight insulating pad to achieve an airtight effect.

  • Publication number: 20120052351
Abstract: A battery with a soaking plate for a thermally and electrically conductive channel includes a plurality of battery rolls and two cap assemblies. Each of the battery rolls includes a central member and at least one electrode piece. Each of two ends of the central member has a bending portion. The electrode piece at least includes a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer. The electrode piece is winding around the central member. The battery rolls are disposed in parallel, and the bending portions at the two ends are formed as terminal disposed portions. The two cap assemblies are disposed at the terminal disposed portions.

  • Publication number: 20120052350
Abstract: A central soaking member of a battery roll includes a main portion, a first electrode convergence member, a second electrode convergence member, and a connection member. The main portion is formed by a highly thermally conductive material. The first electrode convergence member and the second electrode convergence member are respectively disposed at two ends of the main portion. The connection member is formed by a highly thermally conductive and electrically insulative material, and is disposed between the main portion and the first electrode convergence member to connect the main portion and the first electrode convergence member. A temperature difference inside the battery is decreased, uniform temperature distribution inside the battery is achieved, and thermal runaway is prevented by using the central soaking member formed by a highly thermally conductive material.

  • Publication number: 20110159340
Abstract: A protection structure for preventing thermal dissipation and thermal runaway diffusion in battery system is provided. The protection structure includes a battery module casing and at least one composite heat conduction plate. There is a plurality of unit cells disposed in the battery module casing. The composite heat conduction plate is located within the battery module casing, contacted with the battery module casing, and sandwiched between at least two of the unit cells as a heat transmission medium between the cells and the casing to control heat transmission among the cells. The composite heat conduction plate is a multilayer anisotropic heat conduction structure constituted by at least one heat conduction layer and at least one heat insulation layer.
