  • Publication number: 20240107640
Abstract: An LED driving device with an adjustable dimming depth is provided. The LED driving device includes an LED driver and a dimming depth control circuit. The LED driver includes a dimming control circuit and a driving circuit. The dimming control circuit generates a first pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal according to a first brightness indication signal. The driving circuit drives a first light source and adjusts a brightness of the first light source. A duty ratio of the first PWM signal and the first driving current have a first relationship therebetween. The dimming depth control circuit includes a first variable resistance circuit, and the first variable resistance circuit controls a magnitude of a first variable resistance between a first current sampling terminal and a ground terminal according to a first dimming depth control signal. The first relationship defines a first dimming depth that varies with the first variable resistance.

  • Patent number: 8475029
Abstract: A backlight module includes a light guide plate with a main body and a light source with a circuit board and a plurality of light bars. The main body has a light incidence surface and a light emitting surface. The light incidence surface has a plurality of accommodating grooves and the light emitting surface or the light incidence surface has a plurality of light-separation grooves which are perpendicular to the accommodating grooves. The accommodating groove has a first and a second light incidence parts. A reflecting layer is disposed on the surface of the circuit board being located between each two light bars. The light source is disposed on the light incidence surface and light bars are disposed for the accommodating grooves so as a predetermined distance located between the light bar and the second light incidence part is formed a light mixing space to reduce the production of bright lines.

  • Patent number: 8398289
Abstract: A structure for eliminating bright lines of a tiled backlight module is provided. The structure includes a light guide plate, and a plurality of light sources. The light guide plate includes a plurality of rows of optical elements. The rows of optical elements extend in parallel. The light sources are provided at least one side of the light guide plate for projecting a light into the light guide plate and generating a regular but non-uniform light outputting performance of the light guide plate. Therefore, a brightness of areas where the optical elements are located is higher than the rest areas, so that the light guide plate achieves a regular but non-uniform light emitting performance. Accordingly, the bright lines occurred at joints between two light guide plates are enshrouded by the high brightness areas, and become hard to identify or even undistinguishable, thus “eliminated”.

  • Patent number: 8393776
Abstract: A backlight module is provided in the present invention. The backlight module includes a light guide plate, a light source plate and a plurality of side-view lighting elements. The light guide plate comprises a light guide body being an integrally-formed single plate body and comprising a plurality of elongated grooves and a plurality of penetrated grooves. The penetrated grooves and the elongated grooves are collectively arranged on a surface of the light guide plate to separate the light guide plate into a plurality of light emitting regions. The side-view lighting elements arranged on the light source plate are attached to a side of the light guide body and respectively disposed for the penetrated grooves to illuminate corresponding light emitting regions.

  • Publication number: 20110278147
Abstract: A keyboard device includes at least an illuminant element, at least a pressing key element and a light guide element. The pressing key element includes a keycap reciprocating along a first axial direction when being pressed and a recovering component attached to the keycap for supporting and pushing back the keycap when not pressed. The light guide element is located at one side of the recovering component. The light guide element includes at least a light-incident part and a light-emitting part. The light-incident part is used for receiving light emitted from the illuminant element. The light-emitting part emits light along a second axial direction to the recovering component so that the recovering components guide light to the keycap, wherein the second axial direction is different to the first axial direction.
