  • Patent number: 7167219
Abstract: An illumination module (40) for emitting light beams includes a substrate (20) having a main inner surface (21), a plurality of pairs of holders (30) integrally formed on the surface and a plurality of linear light sources (40). Each holder defines a pair of adjoining slots (32, 33), each slot having a guiding portion (321, 331) and an adjoining retaining portion (322, 332). The retaining portions of each holder elastically hold one end of a corresponding linear light source.

  • Patent number: 7159996
Abstract: A backlight system (10) includes a light source (30) having a light emitting portion (31) and a wire (32); and a bracket (20) having a plurality of fastener (24) which holds the light emitting portion thereby mounting the light source on the bracket, the wire are electrically connected with the bracket. The backlight system can stably fix the light sources in the bracket, and it is convenient and safe to exchange the light sources.

  • Publication number: 20050083675
Abstract: An illumination module (10) for emitting light beams includes a substrate (20) having a bottom plate (21) and a pair of opposite side walls (22), a plurality of pairs of holders (23) integrally formed on the bottom plate, and a plurality of linear light sources (30). Each holder defines a slot (231), with the holder elastically holding one end of a corresponding linear light source in the slot. Each linear light source has two wires (40, 40?) extending from two opposite ends thereof. The side walls define a plurality of apertures (50) therein, for receiving the wires of the linear light sources therethrough. The linear light sources with the wires can be quickly and safely removed from the substrate for replacement. The illumination module provides good mechanical performance, easy manufacturing and assembly, and reduced costs.
