  • Patent number: 9778243
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved methods for measuring the renewable bio-source carbon content and renewable bio-content in renewable bioplastic resins produced in manufacturing plants. In particular, the present invention relates to measuring the renewable bio-source carbon content in renewable bioplastic resins produced during a production run by correlating measured ?13C values are measured by iTOC-CRDS and CM-CRDS with actual renewable bio-source carbon content measurements (AMS or LSC 14C) via a linear regression.

  • Publication number: 20100189872
Abstract: Methods for enhancing the stability and shelf lives of unripe essential oils without substantially changing the organoleptic properties other than color of the unripe essential oils are described. The methods involve obtaining an unripe essential oil with a first amount of chlorophyll, contacting the unripe essential oil with an activated carbon to produce a treated essential oil with a second amount of chlorophyll that is less than the first amount of chlorophyll, and separating the treated essential oil from the activated carbon.

  • Patent number: 6007777
Abstract: An analytical instrument measures carbon content of a liquid sample. The instrument includes a sample inlet, a reagent inlet, a rinsing solution inlet, a reaction chamber, a waste outlet and a syringe pump. A multiple port valve has a plurality of ports which are coupled to the sample inlet, the reagent inlet, the rinse solution inlet, the reaction chamber and the waste outlet. The valve also includes a primary port coupled to the syringe pump and selectively fluidically couplable to each of the remaining ports.
