Abstract: The distributed virtual SAN infrastructure provides a plurality of host systems with a scalable dynamically expandable distributed virtual storage pool, which includes a virtual storage automatic construct protocol. The distributed virtual SAN infrastructure includes one or more IP SAN units, the management console, the distributing control management station and the network infrastructure, wherein the network infrastructure provides the communication links between all systems in this distributed virtual SAN.

Abstract: Rapid demanding for storage capacity at internet era requires a much flexible and powerful storage infrastructure. Present invention disclosed a type of storage system based a model of centrally controlled distributed scalable virtual machine. In this model, one or more service pools including virtual storage service pool and application service pools can be automatically created to meet the demands for more storage capacity from various applications. Specially this model provide a solid foundation for distributing storage volumes for supporting storage on-demand and sharing with exceptional management capabilities.

Abstract: Adapting web-based external storage, wireless device can posses huge amount of storage that current any wireless device's internal storage can not provide. To effectively let the storage server providing external storage (file system) for wireless device, the storage of a storage server need to be partitioned into multiple small storage volume and need to be exported to each specific wireless device. The console support software coupled with web-server software of a server provides both users of wireless device and console through web-browser to perform tasks of creating and utilizing external storage (file system). To support larger number of wireless devices with external storage, a central controlled distributed scalable virtual machine infrastructure can be deployed. The larger number of storage server controlled by a central control system can satisfy unlimited wireless devices external storage needs.

Abstract: This invention takes the course of evolution and creating a web based computer user work environment for a control management station and its associated systems on the network crossing Intranet, Internet or LAN. Therefore, users can access and manage the control management station and all its associated system through web browser on any other systems or devices. To establish a web based computer user work environment, the resources information on control management station and on associated systems on network need to be collected and convert them to standard structured format for web based communication and further displaying them in web browser. These information need to be collected by control management station at its and the associated systems' boot up time or at the time when a user logins and requests to access and manage these resources.

Abstract: An intelligent distributed virtual server for providing distributed services to a plurality of clients, including one or more servers units, each server units storing data and providing services for accessing by one or more clients; a switch for connecting the clients to the server units and to provide a communication link; and a distribution control station connected to the clients and the server units via the switch, wherein the distribution control station receives a request for a service from a client, and automatically, selectively establishes a data link between that client and an server unit, which stores the requested data and provides services, such that the server unit provides the data stream to the client via the communication link, independent of other server units. The capacity of the intelligent distributed virtual server can be dynamically expanded without interrupt the normal server operation.

Abstract: Supporting multiple users concurrent login and providing each user to be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks in his/her computer work environment are very critical to modem computer user working environment, which is running on top of modem operating system, due to it greatly improved machine efficiency and user's productivities. On the other hand, a single host may be assigned and able to access multiple volumes from multiple IP SAN units, which in fact, effectively provide each host a virtual scalable storage system. In addition, the storage accessing goes directly through communication link between hosts and SAN units, which means it is out-band accessed.

Abstract: The multiple simultaneous concurrent tasks support on web-based console provides a way to let CCDSVM to be operated like a single machine. The combined software modules of CCDSVM have actually formed a model of web-based computer user work environment, which runs on top of a generic operating system, for either a single system or a group of system. To achieve multi-tasks support on web-console for CCDSVM, the control management station shall has console supporting software modules and web server software, the console host shall has web-browser, and the system units shall has service software modules. The console supporting software modules shall include a user space task list to store all tasks initiated by users from web-consoles.
