  • Publication number: 20240263122
Abstract: Provided is a bioreactor apparatus including: a liquid storage chamber for storing a liquid containing a first ion; a pump; a culture chamber for accommodating the liquid and cells to be cultured; and an ion-exchange chamber accommodating an ion-exchange substrate containing a second ion. Affinity of the second ion to the ion-exchange substrate is lower than affinity of the first ion to the ion-exchange substrate, or molar concentration of the second ion far outweigh molar concentration of the first ion. The storage chamber, the pump, the culture chamber and the ion-exchange chamber are connected via pipelines to form a closed loop, and the pump is configured to provide pressure to drive flow of the liquid in the closed loop. Also provided are a method for regulating ion concentration by the ion-exchange substrate and a method for cell culture by the bioreactor apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240024868
Abstract: Provided is a microfluidic detection device, including a base with a microfluidic channel structure formed on the base and a lid covering the base. The microfluidic channel structure includes a sample well for loading a sample, a detection well having a first reagent for reacting with the sample, and a channel connecting the sample well and the detection well. The detection well has a recess deeper than the channel, and the base includes a protrusion corresponding to the recess to form a space between the protrusion and the recess. Also provided is a method for rapid diagnostic testing by the microfluidic detection device.

  • Publication number: 20050153277
Abstract: An immunochemical assay device is proposed. The immunochemical assay device includes a base member, a liquid-flowing layer disposed on the base member and a light-permissible member attached on the liquid-flowing layer. A gap is interposed between the light-permissible member and the liquid-flowing layer, wherein at least an immobilized substance is disposed on the surface of the light-permissible member facing the liquid-flowing layer. The immobilized substance binds to a specific ligand-receptor complex contained in a liquid sample to form an assay marker after the liquid sample has been added into the gap. The liquid sample flows in a microfluidic environment formed between the light-permissible member and the liquid-flowing layer and reacts with the immobilized substance to produce a colored assay marker on the light-permissible member. As the light-permissible member provides better transmission of light than previously known paper materials do, the assay marker can be easily detected by human eyes.
