    Abstract: A computer-implemented method dynamically switches access plans for a query during concurrent query execution. The method includes receiving a first query configured to be processed by a database system. The method also includes generating, for the first query, an access plan for each of identified resource sets. The method includes determining a first set of available resources that represent an available capacity for the database system. The method further includes selecting a first resource set of the one or more resource sets, where the selecting is based on the first set of available resources being closest to the first resource set. The method also includes selecting, based on the first set of available resources, a first access plan of the one or more access plans. The method includes executing the first query and returning results of the first query to a source of the first query.

    Abstract: The compositions and methods described herein are based, in part, on the discovery that regulatory B cells (Bregs) differentially express a specific set of coinhibitory molecules, including TIGIT, LAG-3, PD-1, CTLA4, and TIM-3. The data described herein indicate that TIGIT is required for both Breg-mediated tolerance maintenance at the steady state, and inflammation restraint during autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Accordingly, provided herein are compositions and methods targeting coinhibitory molecules, such as TIGIT, LAG-3, PD-1, CTLA4, and TIM-3, in B cells, as novel therapeutic strategies for modulating immune suppression and treating diseases mediated or impacted by immune suppression mechanisms, such as autoimmune diseases and cancers.

An illumination line can be formed by under-filling the illumination beam in the aperture of the microscope objective. The illumination line extends in the Z dimension into the target sample to be imaged and an X-Y scanning mechanism can be used to scan the illumination line over the sample. The detection signal emanating from the scanned sample can be collected through the full numerical aperture of the microscope objective and directed to a detector subsystem. The detector subsystem includes an array of reflecting pinhole detectors and each reflecting pinhole detector is configured to image a volume at a different depth in the sample. This configuration enables reflecting pinhole detector array to image more than one depth volume at the same time.

    Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for securing communications in a wireless network by utilizing the inherent randomness of propagation errors to enable legitimate users to dynamically create a shared symmetric secret key. In one embodiment, the invention provides a system with two computers each having a wireless network adapter. The sending node encodes the frames, transmits the frames, determines if the frames were correctly received, retransmits the frames if they were not correctly received, stores the frames that were not retransmitted, and uses the stored frames to generate a secret key. The receiving node receives the encoded frames, determines if the frames were retransmitted, stores at least one of the frames that was not retransmitted, and uses the stored frames to generate the same secret key as the receiving node.
