    Abstract: A workpiece transfer device includes an elongated hollow housing, a plurality of push mechanisms, a plurality of coupling devices, a plurality of lever mechanisms, and an elongated swing member. The push mechanisms have a plurality of spindles disposed inside and spaced longitudinally of the housing. Each of the coupling devices has a cylindrical sleeve member sleeved rotatably on a corresponding one of the spindles, and at least one cantilever extending radially from the sleeve member for turning about the corresponding one of the spindles. Each of the cantilevers has a distal end distal from the corresponding one of the spindles. Each of the lever mechanisms has a lever connected pivotally to a corresponding one of the cantilevers. Each of the levers has a first end portion engaging the corresponding one of the spindles, and a second end portion adjacent to the distal end of the corresponding one of the cantilevers.

    Abstract: A reciprocating mechanism includes a seat body, a longitudinal first slide member, and a second slide member. The seat body has therein a longitudinal first guiding groove, a second guiding groove intersecting the first guiding groove, and a crossing space at the intersection of the first and second guiding grooves. The first slide member is disposed slidably and reciprocatingly in the first guiding groove across the crossing space, and has a longitudinal cam member extending longitudinally of the first slide member. The second slide member is mounted slidably on the seat body along the direction of the second guiding groove, and incorporates a cam follower which extends into the crossing space to contact the cam member. The cam follower is movable to-and-fro along the second guiding groove when the cam member reciprocates along the first guiding groove, thereby moving reciprocatingly the second slide member along the second guiding groove.

    Abstract: A driving apparatus includes a driving shaft journalled in a nut former, a hollow cylinder having an axially extending bore formed eccentrically therethrough and sleeved rigidly on the driving shaft in such a manner that the driving shaft extends through the bore of the cylinder, a link sleeved removably and rotatably on the cylinder at an end thereof, and a crank having a first crank arm connected pivotally to the other end of the link and a second crank arm connected to a workpiece impelling mechanism. When the driving shaft rotates, the driving apparatus activates the workpiece impelling mechanism.

    Abstract: A motion transfer mechanism for a machine includes a coupler interconnecting a one-arm crank member and the first crank arm of a two-arm crank member. A driving plate is mounted rotatably on the machine and has a cam edge. Any line, which connects any pair of points on the cam edge and also passes through the rotating axis of the driving plate, is at a predetermined distance. An input unit is connected to the driving plate so as to rotate the driving plate. A pair of roller followers are mounted pivotally on the coupler in association with the cam edge of the driving plate. The connecting line of the roller followers passes through the rotating axis of the driving plate. An output unit is connected to the second crank arm of the two-arm crank member. When the driving plate is rotated so that the roller followers slide along the cam edge of the driving plate, the one-arm and two-arm crank members are rotated so as to activate the output unit.

    Abstract: A swinging mechanism for workpiece holding members of a nut former includes a drive rod to swing a swinging member which is connected to a plurality of seats to support the workpiece holding members. The swinging member is connected to the machine body with two connecting members which are pivoted to the machine body with two first pivot shafts. An elongated crank support member to support cranks which actuate the workpiece holding members is mounted on a pair of connecting members which swing about two second pivot shafts respectively adjacent to the first pivot shafts. Two eccentric members are respectively mounted on one of the first pivot shafts and one of the second pivot shafts, and a third connecting member is mounted on the eccentric members. The movement of the swinging member is transmitted to the crank support member through the first, second and third connecting members.
