Abstract: A video terminal configured to be connectable with an e-mail server and a communication server, the video terminal stores the text content input by a user, communicates with a plurality of terminals by the video communication, receives video of each terminal. The video terminal selects a edition format from a plurality of edition format, and transmits the text content, videos and the selected edition format to an e-mail server. A method of sending video e-mail applied in video terminal is also provided. An e-mail server and a method of sending video e-mail applied in e-mail server are also provided.

Abstract: A home gateway transmits data on the Internet to a plurality of customer premise equipments (CPEs) via a cable modem termination system (CMTS) which connect a plurality of other home gateways. The home gateway distributes a plurality of tuners to the plurality of CPEs according to request packets sent by the plurality of CPEs. The home gateway transmits broadcast packets to the other home gateways to inquire whether one of the other home gateways has an unoccupied tuner or not upon the condition that there are no unoccupied tuners of the home gateway, receives data from the Internet via the unoccupied tuner, and transmits the data to one of the CPEs not distributed the tuner.

Abstract: An electronic program guide (EPG) server bridges at least one middleware server with at least one set-top box (STB). The EPG server transmits an EPG request to the middleware server to receive electronic program guides comprising one or more different file formats to the middleware server and transforms the EPGs into EPGs having a preset file format. The EPG server further transmits the EPGs with the preset file format to the at least one STB.
