  • Patent number: 8908282
Abstract: This invention provides a plastic optical lens having a sprue gate plane. An average height of the portion defined by the width of the sprue gate plane is larger than at least one portion outside of a width of the sprue gate plane of any annular cross-section centering an optical axis between an optical effective diameter region and the sprue gate plane. The plastic optical lens is formed by an injection-molding method that employs a mold comprising an inlet channel arranged between the optical effective diameter region and the sprue gate plane. The inlet channel provides a shortcut that facilitates the molten plastics to flow to the optical effective diameter region as early as possible during the lens molding process, thereby avoiding the formation of a void or a welding line in the optical effective diameter region. Consequently, the production yield for the optical lens can be improved.

  • Patent number: 8842376
Abstract: This invention provides an injection-molded plastic optical lens comprising from a center to an edge thereof an optical effective portion, a connecting portion and a peripheral portion that are concentrically formed. The plastic optical lens has an outer diameter D. The optical effective portion has an edge thickness ET1 and a central thickness CT, the connecting portion has a minimum thickness ET2, and the plastic optical lens satisfies the following relations of CT?0.30 mm and ET2/ET1<1.0. At least one lens element with refractive power can be disposed at each of the object side and the image side of the plastic optical lens of the present invention to form an optical lens assembly.

  • Publication number: 20090002318
Abstract: An input module of a mobile communication device includes an interlinking unit, an input unit, and a pressing unit. The interlinking unit has a protrusion and a first sliding member. The input unit has a second sliding member opposite to the first sliding member. The pressing unit has a groove, a guiding member, and an elastic member. The groove and the interlinking unit move together. One end of the guiding member moves between a first position and a second position in the groove. The elastic member provides a resilience force for the groove. When an external force is applied to the protrusion of the interlinking unit, the interlinking unit drives the groove in a first direction to allow the guiding member to relatively move from the first position to the second position or from the second position to the first position. A mobile communication device is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080174942
Abstract: A handheld electronic device of the present invention including a body, a display portion, and a connection portion. The connection portion connects the body and the display portion such that the display portion can slide on the body and pivot relative to the body. The connection portion includes a hinge and two plates. The hinge is disposed in a recess on the body. The first plate is connected with the display portion. The second plate is connected with the first plate in a sliding method. One edge of the second plate is fixed on the hinge. When the display portion exposes the hinge, the display portion is able to pivot relative to the body.
