    Abstract: A connector includes an insulating housing defining a receiving recess for receiving a flexible printed circuit board and a pair of receiving cavities located at two sides of the receiving recess, a plurality of electrical terminals disposed in the insulating housing, and a slidable cover mounted to the insulating housing and having a base board. A portion of the base board is recessed downward to form a gap and an inmost edge of the gap extends to form a supporting board. Two opposite ends of the base board extend to form a pair of fixing arms. A front portion of each of the fixing arms is protruded downward to form a sliding block. The slidable cover is pushed to the insulating housing with the sliding blocks sliding into the receiving cavities that drives the supporting board moving upward so that ensure a firm contact between the flexible printed circuit board and the electrical terminals.

The flexible printed circuit board is inserted between the base arms and the elastic arms. The shell has a top board protruding downward to form at least one pressing portion slidably moving along the elastic board for pressing the elastic board downward so as to further press the elastic arms against the flexible printed circuit board.

    Abstract: An audio jack adapted for receiving a mating audio plug includes an insulating housing and a contact. The insulating housing has an insertion hole for receiving the mating audio plug. A recess is formed at a front of a bottom surface of the insulating housing and communicated with the insertion hole. The contact is received in the recess and includes a base portion, a soldered portion and a resistance piece. The soldered portion bends and extends outward from a bottom edge of the base portion. The resistance piece includes an elastic arm extending forward from a front edge of the base portion, and an arc-shaped portion extending downwards from a distal end of the elastic arm and arched according to an outer periphery of the mating audio plug. A distal end of the arc-shaped portion defined as a contact portion.

The dielectric housing defines an insertion hole therein for an audio plug inserted into. One of the contacts is located at a rear of the dielectric housing and includes a bottom plate, a first fixed plate and a second fixed plate respectively extended upward from two opposite ends of the bottom plate. A contact protuberance is protruded towards the second fixed plate from a portion of the first fixed plate. A flexible plate is extended from the second fixed plate to be located between the first and second fixed plates. The flexible plate defines a contact convex protruded towards the first fixed plate at a free end thereof. The contact protuberance and the contact convex are both projected into the insertion hole for contacting with the audio plug.

The actuator has a pressing bar at an edge thereof and two piloting portions. The pressing bar is located between the bearing arms and the holding arms. The piloting portions are slid into the corresponding second locating troughs from the first locating troughs to act on the bearing arms so as to make the contacting arms incline toward the corresponding connecting arms for further clipping the flexible printed circuit board therebetween.
