  • Patent number: 12162225
Abstract: A feedback control system for use with ultrasonic welding. A weld energy set point and/or a reference power curve are used by a controller to provide a power supply voltage set point and a power supply frequency set point for the power that is to be drawn by an ultrasonic weld generator. Information regarding the actual voltage and/or frequency of the drawn electrical power, and/or the frequency and magnitude of an ultrasonic wave transmitted from the generator to an applicator tool used to weld an object can be utilized by an estimator to estimate the weld energy dissipated at the weld site and/or generate a power curve for the welding operation. Using information from the estimator, the controller can determine adjustments for variables for the current and/or future welding operations. Further, welding may not commence until a clamping force exerted on the object satisfies a clamping force set point.

  • Publication number: 20240396956
Abstract: A network model for determining the performance of a real-time communication application, such as a video codec and transmission of the coded data, is implemented as computer software. The network model factors in burst data packet loss in determining a performance measure. The network model uses a Hidden Markov Model on a set of data packets of a unit of data to determine the performance measure in the form a probability that all the data packets within the set are received. The measure is used to fine tune the system settings. The network model causes the real-time communication application to adjust parameters of the application for improved transmission of data packets. The adjustment of a parameter can be an increase or a decrease.

  • Publication number: 20240397034
Abstract: A system for determining the performance of a video codec for real-time communication applications includes a video codec performance evaluation network model and video codec quality analyze. A set of network conditions is used to simulate certain typical real-world network conditions. A coded video stream is transmitted from the transmitting end to the receiving end under these conditions. The end-to-end latency and received video fluency are measured along with a set of existing video quality measures by a video codec performance evaluation system including a network model and a video codec quality analyzer. The decodable frame ratio, latency and video fluency are used as the performance metrics for real-time communication video quality evaluation. The video codec performance evaluation system does not send any video data over a network when it determines the real-time communication quality of the video codec.

  • Patent number: 12071952
Abstract: Provided are a scroll compressor, a refrigeration device, and a vehicle. In the scroll compressor, an oil discharging hole of an oil separation structure and an oil storage tank are connected to each other by an oil outlet channel disposed in a housing, and an oil outlet of the oil outlet channel is located above an oil inlet. The oil outlet channel can guide a refrigeration oil discharged from the oil discharging hole to flow into the oil storage tank. After passing through the oil outlet channel, a flow rate and a pressure of the refrigeration oil decrease, and thus an impact of the refrigeration oil on the remaining refrigeration oil in the oil storage tank is reduced when discharged from the oil outlet. Therefore, the refrigeration oil within the oil storage tank remains stable and can always immerse an oil return hole of the oil storage tank.
