Abstract: The present disclosure provides a locking mechanism for an upright post of a walking machine, which comprises a first component fixed on a walking machine frame, a second component fixed on a upright post of the walking machine, and a third component movably arranged between the first component and the second component, wherein the first component is provided with a first accommodating groove, and the third component comprises a connecting rod, a wrench rotatably connected with the connecting rod, and a movable member partially accommodated in the first accommodating groove; the movable member comprises a protruding part protruding from the first accommodating groove, a main body part connected with the protruding part, and a spring located at one end of the main body away from the protruding part; when the spring is not stressed, the second component can rotate relative to the first component.
