  • Publication number: 20250174846
Abstract: The present document describes a battery configuration for directing relative H-field distributions. The battery configuration is an enclosure housing a plurality of anode and cathode layers, separated by insulation layers (e.g., a stacking cell battery, a coin cell battery, a button cell battery, etc.), with two internal tabs within the enclosure and two external tabs. The battery has a predefined external-tab configuration and a predefined internal-tab angle for reducing electromagnetic (EM) coupling. The tabs are positioned relative to one another and a symmetry axis of the battery to shape an H-field created by electric current running through the battery such that the H-field is asymmetrically distributed about the symmetry axis.

  • Patent number: 12231839
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for an arrangement of components within a hearable device, such as earbuds, to reduce H field coupling for E noise improvement. A battery is positioned above a magnet and speaker, such that the battery is not coaxially aligned with either the magnet or the speaker. An internal positive tab of a battery is positioned farthest from a speaker yoke, while an internal negative tab of the battery is closer to the speaker yoke. Magnetic flux poles of a contact magnet have different contributions for electric field coupling.

  • Publication number: 20250030971
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described for an earbud with low enoise. An electronic device includes: a flexible printed circuit (FPC) having first, second, and third regions, the FPC being shaped to form multiple layers including first, second, and third layers, the second region forming the second layer and being between the first layer formed by the first region and the third layer formed by the third region. The electronic device further includes a multi-layer board (MLB) in the first region. A battery connected to the FPC in the first region and disposed between the first and second regions. A speaker connected to the FPC in the second region and disposed between the second and third regions. Charger pins connected to the FPC in the third region. A microphone connected to the FPC in the third region. An infrared sensor connected to the FPC in the third region.

  • Publication number: 20240266692
Abstract: The present document describes a battery configuration for reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI). The battery configuration includes a coin cell (e.g., stacking battery cell, button cell) with predefined external-tab configurations and a predefined internal-tab angle for reducing electromagnetic (EM) coupling. In particular, internal tabs are positioned to be separated by an angle (e.g., a predefined internal-tab angle) of approximately 90 degrees. External tabs include (i) a first external tab connected to a side of the coin cell and extending to overlap a top surface of the coin cell and (ii) a second external tab connected to the top surface of the coin cell. Both external tabs are positioned relative to the internal tabs to reduce an H-field and/or an E-field created by current running through the coin cell.

  • Publication number: 20230408326
Abstract: This document describes systems and techniques for a non-contact vibration testing system for enhanced component placement. In one example a testing system includes a mounting device configured to receive an electronic device having a magnetic-field-sensitive component, the magnetic-field-sensitive component configured to vibrate in response to a variable-frequency magnetic field. A magnetic coil is configured to generate the variable frequency magnetic field in response to receiving an alternating electric current. The magnetic coil is disposed proximate to the mounting device to cause the variable-frequency magnetic field to propagate into a region of the mounting device in which the electronic device is configured to be received. The variable-frequency magnetic field configured to cause the magnetic-field-sensitive component to vibrate.
