Abstract: A building management system includes a plurality of network-connected sensors installed in or around a place comprising at least one space. The building management system also includes a control engine configured to identify a space profile associated with the space. The space profile is one of a plurality of selectable space profiles for the space. At least two of the plurality of space profiles are associated with a different type of space serving a different function. The space profile includes one or more attributes for the space and a corresponding target value for each of the attributes. The control engine is also configured to receive and process data from the sensors to determine an actual value of each of the attributes and control one or more devices that serve the space to drive the actual value of each attributed toward the corresponding target value defined by the space profile.

Abstract: A building management system includes a plurality of devices of building equipment and a control engine configured to, for at least one space of one or more spaces, associate the space with a group of the plurality of devices. The control engine is also configured to select a first space profile of a plurality of space profiles associated with a first type of space. The first space profile includes a plurality of modes each corresponding to a different functional state of the space. The control engine is also configured to select a mode of the plurality of modes of the first space profile, determine a setting of the set of settings of the first space profile based on the selected mode, and control the one or more devices that serve the space in accordance with the settings defined by the first space profile and the selected mode.

Abstract: A building management system includes a processing circuit coupled to a building network. The building network includes at least one server, at least one supervisory engine, at least one field controller, and at least one edge device. The processing circuit is configured to provide a graphical user interface including a building network riser diagram of the building network. The building network riser diagram has at least two of (i) a server section configured to display a first graphical representation of the at least one server, (ii) an engine section configured to display a second graphical representation of the at least one supervisory engine, (iii) a field controller section configured to display a third graphical representation of the at least one field controller, and (iv) an edge device section configured to display a fourth graphical representation of the at least one edge device.

Abstract: Information about a facilities management system for a building can be obtained by a remote computer accessing a Web server at the facilities management system via the Internet. The Web server employs a generic Web page layout and an active server pages program to create a Web page that displays information from the facilities management system. This mechanism does not require that the Web pages be custom developed for each particular building and its unique system configuration. Instead, the present invention provides dynamic Web page construction based on the number of items of data supplied by the facilities management system to the Web server. A authoring tool for custom Web page layout also is provided.

Abstract: Occupants of a building are able to submit complaints regarding operating conditions, such as temperature, humidity and air quality, via a web site on an Intranet or Internet. The server for the web site logs the complaints and current environmental conditions in a storage device. The server also applies a filter criterion to each complaint and when the complaints satisfy the filter criterion a warning is sent to building management personnel. This filtering process enables the building management personnel to be alerted when the number of complaints exceeds a given number or when specific classes of occupants submit a complaint.
