Abstract: A security system designed to be mounted adjacent a passenger entrance area of a bus or train. The security device scanning system includes a controller disposed within the bus or train, the two scanners configured in substantially a vertical manner proximate the passenger entrance area. The scanners further include a plurality of transmitters and receivers that detect materials using a plurality of detection methods including but not limited to x-ray, pulse induction and chemical sniffing. The security scanning system further includes a distress signaling system.
