Abstract: Described herein are, among other things, techniques, devices, and systems for generating one or more trained machine-learning models. Also described herein are techniques, devices, and systems for applying a consumption history of a particular user to the trained model(s) to generate score data indicating a correlation between each content-item title and the consumption history. The techniques then determine a ranked list of content items having a highest correlation to the consumption history, which may be used to retrieve videos associated with the most-correlated content items for generating a compilation video composed of these retrieved videos.

Abstract: A method of making a purified precipitated calcium carbonate from lime mud can include admixing a lime mud cake with water and sodium carbonate to form a first slurry; heating the first slurry under conditions to age the slurry and form one or more of pirssonite, shortite, and gaylussite; separating a solid portion from the aged slurry; washing the solid portion under conditions sufficient to decompose the one or more of pirssonite, shortite, and gaylussite to a CaCO3 solid fraction and Na2CO3 solid fraction and to remove sodium salts; and admixing the CaCO3 solid fraction with water and a dispersant to disperse the CaCO3 solid fraction in water and form a dispersed slurry having a Brookfield viscosity of less than about 1000 cps at 100 rpm, thereby producing a dispersed slurry containing the purified precipitated calcium carbonate.

Abstract: A method for the synthesis of monodispersed, organic-monolayer coated, calcium-containing nanoparticles is presented. A biphasic liquid system comprises an aqueous phase of bare particles and an organic phase containing organic molecules with carboxylic acid end group is mixed. The carboxylic acid group binds to the surface of the calcium-containing particles and the particles are coated with a monolayer of organic molecules. The exposed surface of the coated particles is more hydrophobic than the surface of the bare particle and the particles are extracted to the organic phase. The process changes the geometry of the particles and decreases the size distribution in a population of particles.

Abstract: A compact disc holder for a conventional jewel box has a unitary body and a closure plate. The unitary body has a chamber with a planar top for the jewel box and an attached tab. The tab has a ridge which rises out of the plane of the tab and is angled towards the planar top of the chamber. The ridged tab renders the compact disc holder resistant to folding and facilitates proper placement of the compact disc holder in a display box.
