    Abstract: The system has a male tubing fitting extending along a longitudinal axis. The male tubing fitting has a first internal bore and an end portion including a male plug. The system also has a female tubing fitting that has a second internal bore configured to receive the male plug. Also, the system has a collar disposed about the male tubing fitting and positioned to slide freely along the longitudinal axis from a first position to a second position. In the first position the male and female tubing fittings are unlocked with respect to each other such that the male plug is removably insertable into the second internal bore of the female tubing fitting. In the second position the male and female fittings are locked with respect to each other such that the male plug is prevented from being removed from the second internal bore of the female tubing fitting.
