  • Publication number: 20160321935
Abstract: A goal optimization ecosystem is presented. Contemplated systems include a database storing participant data representing aspects across the life of one or more participants. The system further includes a goal database storing one or more goal objects representing a participant's objectives in life. As participant data flows through a goal engine, the goal engine tracks the progress toward objectives of the objective objects and can calculated a life score reflecting a balance or level of optimization between the goals. Further, the goal engine can make recommendations on participant actions that can alter the likelihood that the objectives could be achieved individually and the value of the life score.

  • Publication number: 20070016650
Abstract: Systems and methods for collaborative authorship of content for a distributed delivery system are provided. The system comprises a server configured to store and regulate access to one or more course materials developed by one or more authors, wherein the one or more course materials comprise information to be taught to a student. The system further comprises one or more client computer systems configured to communicate with said server, each of the one or more client computer systems comprising a display configured to show a hierarchy of course materials, a messaging module configured to send and receive content-related event messages to and from the server, and a user interface module configured to update the display in accordance with content-related events. The server is configured to send event messages to the one or more client computer systems. In some embodiments, the one or more client computer systems are configured to synchronize content with the server.

  • Publication number: 20060286536
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing content and enabling users to add or modify content and content styles associated with a distributed learning system are provided. A server stores content objects developed by one or more authors, and a permissions module regulates access to the content objects based upon stored permission settings. The methods comprise receiving a request from a user to add or modify content or a content style, retrieving permissions information associated with the request, and providing or not providing access to the requested content or content style, based upon the retrieved permissions information. In some embodiments, methods are provided by which content objects can be dynamically rendered by various organizations to generate courses tailored to each organizations themes and visual styles.

  • Publication number: 20060068368
Abstract: An online learning system for teaching students is described. One feature of the system is the capability of storing course material in a form with a minimum of formatting and styling contained within each content object. The content may then be packaged into a SCORM compliant objects (SCO) using specific formats, styles, and themes such that the same learning content may rendered into different SCOs, e.g., for use in different settings such as within specific organizations. Authors of course material can thereby use material that was created for use in different settings or that was created to be provided in different formats, e.g., different form factors such as a large screen computer and a small screen PDA, that would otherwise require maintaining separate instructional content.

  • Publication number: 20060068367
Abstract: An online learning system for teaching students is described. One feature of the system is the capability of linking course content that was created for a first course into the content of a second course. Authors of course material can thereby use material that was already created, and is being updated, by a different author within their own courses.
