Publication number: 20200082392Abstract: Transportation sharing based payment systems and methods are described herein. An example system includes a processor configured to ascertain a current user of a transportation asset and routing information of the transportation asset. The processor may link a funding source of the current user to a payment platform and direct the current user to a merchant location based on the routing information by using an incentive to purchase an item at the merchant location. The processor may further determine that the transportation asset has arrived at the merchant location and upon receipt of an indication from the current user of an intent to purchase the item associated with the incentive, complete a financial transaction associated with a purchase of the at least one item. The financial transaction may be completed directly through the payment platform without the use of the funding source.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2018Publication date: March 12, 2020Inventors: Shervin Pishevar, Keith Siilats

Publication number: 20160080855Abstract: Disclosed is a deconstructed computer that operates as multifunctional headphones having an ornamental appearance. In one embodiment, the headphones include a plurality of modular beads that are connected by a wire in an open necklace configuration. The wire and the modular beads are distributed and shaped so that they can be comfortably draped and counter-balanced around a wearer's body, such as in the manner of jewelry. Additionally, the wire and the modular beads can be adjusted in multiple configurations without falling off or slipping into unwanted positions. Each of the modular beads include various types of input and output devices to communicate with one another and/or other external electronic devices paired thereto.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2015Publication date: March 17, 2016Applicant: BEED, Inc.Inventors: Russell Greenberg, Noosheen Hashemi, Minchul Hong, Michael Rosenblatt, Andrew Bert Hodge, Shervin Pishevar

Patent number: 8904038Abstract: An apparatus, method and system to enable dynamic replication of Web servers across a wide area in response to access patterns by Web clients as well as in response to customer requests. The method for dynamically replicating one or more parent nodes on a network in response to a user request by a policy manager. The policy manager transmits the user request to an event module. The event module transmits the user request to a data consistency module, wherein the data consistency module maintains integrity of the data on the parent node. The event system communicates with a resource management module to ensure proper utilization of network resources, and transmits the routing request to a request routing module for appropriately balancing the network load. The request routing module is capable of providing optimal routing based on the network resources.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2012Date of Patent: December 2, 2014Assignee: Vistaprint Schweiz GmbHInventors: Shervin Pishevar, Lewis Bloch, Drew Morris, Daniel F. Patent number: 8447832Abstract: A system and method for providing a web-based operating system is disclosed. A web-based operating system is downloaded from a server to a network-enabled device. The web-based operating system provides a platform from which to run web-based computer applications. Web-based computer applications are downloaded from the server onto the network-enabled device, and executed in conjunction with the web-based operating system. Those portions of the web-based operating system software and web-based computer application software are downloaded to the network-enabled device as needed. A component-based environment for the development and deployment of a web-based operating system and web-based computer applications is also provided. Components are deployed within library files as part of a component-based development model. The web-based operating system downloads those library files needed to execute the web-based computer applications.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2011Date of Patent: May 21, 2013Assignee: RPX CorporationInventors: Fredrik Malmer, Erik Viktor Arvidsson, Drew E. Publication number: 20120079080Abstract: The APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AN INTERACTIVE PROXIMITY DISPLAY TETHER WITH REMOTE CO-PLAY (“CO-PLAY”) teaches an interactive cooperative gameplay platform, which provides an interactive communications and display tether between a source device and a remote display device, and between a source device and a co-play client device. The CO-PLAY allows multiple users to operate an application platform, e.g., in game environments. For example, a user may employ a mobile device, such as the Apple iPhone, and launch a CO-PLAY implemented video game to query and connect to an available client device (e.g., another Apple iPhone) to co-play the video game. In one implementation, the CO-PLAY may tether the mobile device with a remote display device for visualization on a larger display.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 11, 2010Publication date: March 29, 2012Inventor: Shervin Pishevar

Publication number: 20120077586Abstract: The APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AN INTERACTIVE PROXIMITY DISPLAY TETHER (IPDT) teaches an Interactive Proximity Display Tether (IPDT), which provides an interactive communications and display tether between source and target devices. The IPDT allows users to employ source mobile devices on the larger display of target devices. For example, a user may employ a source device, such as the iPhone, and launch a IPDT implemented video game to employ larger display devices as targets, which allows for greater utility in operating various applications, and particularly in game environments. Devices like the iPhone, which allow use of accelerometers whereby the entire device may act as an input (e.g., game) controller are enhanced with IPDT by allowing a user to both control inputs to the application (e.g., control the game) while still being able to fully view the results of the application.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2009Publication date: March 29, 2012Inventor: Shervin Pishevar
