  • Patent number: 8483120
Abstract: A wireless telecommunications system comprising a plurality of telecommunications nodes that include receivers and transmitters that are located in a suborbital plane. The telecommunications signals are broadband digital radio signals which are modulated by code division multiple access spread spectrum technology. The receivers include a plurality of antennae that are operative to receive relatively weak telecommunications signals and which use spatial processing to identify their source so that maximum utilization of the spectrum is made available for use by the telecommunications signals without interference.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 26, 2002
Date of Patent: July 9, 2013
Inventors: Sherwin I. Seligsohn, Scott Seligsohn
  • Patent number: 7844218
Abstract: A sub-orbital, high altitude communications system that has at least two ground stations and at least one high altitude relay station. Each of the ground stations includes apparatus for sending and receiving telecommunications signals. The relay stations include apparatus for receiving and sending telecommunications signals from and to the ground stations and from and to other relay stations. Apparatus is provided for controlling the lateral and vertical movement of the relay stations so that a predetermined altitude and location of each of the relay stations can be achieved and maintained. Apparatus is provided for retrieving relay stations so that they can be serviced for reuse.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 2005
Date of Patent: November 30, 2010
    Assignee: International Multi-Media Corporation
Inventors: Sherwin I. Seligsohn, Scott Seligsohn
  • Patent number: 7567779
Abstract: A sub-orbital, high altitude communications system comprising at least two ground stations and at least one high altitude relay station. Each of the ground stations including means for sending and receiving telecommunications signals. The relay stations include means for receiving and sending telecommunications signals from and to said ground stations and from and to other relay stations. Means are provided for controlling the lateral and vertical movement of the relay stations so that a predetermined altitude and location of each of said relay stations can be achieved and maintained. Means are provided for receiving the relay stations so that they can be serviced for reuse.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 16, 2005
Date of Patent: July 28, 2009
    Assignee: International Multi-Media Corporation
Inventors: Sherwin I. Seligsohn, Scott Seligsohn
  • Patent number: 7050835
Abstract: Interactive, low power, collapsible, intelligent, multi-media display systems for use as hand-held, portable communications devices are disclosed. A display communications device according to the invention can include a housing that contains a processor, radio transceiver means for transmitting and receiving radio signals, and a collapsible display that is mechanically coupled to the housing and electrically coupled to the processor. The display can have a surface area that is larger than any cross-sectional area of the housing. The processor can be adapted to extract display data from input radio signals, and to provide a representation of the display data to the display.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 12, 2001
Date of Patent: May 23, 2006
    Assignee: Universal Display Corporation

  • Patent number: 4439638
Abstract: A function generating system such as a telephone ringer, which is sound or voice-controlled in that when the signal is first applied by the caller it results in a series of digits or other sounds emitted by the receiver. The caller follows each of these sounds by either a responsive sound or silence. When the responsive sounds correspond to a programmed code, the function is activated.
