    Abstract: The present invention provides a passive optical pen for using with a display device, which comprises a handgrip for being held by a user, a reflector positioned on an end of the handgrip, and a transparent shield covering the reflector. The reflector reflects ambient light propagated from the display device toward the display device. The transparent shield keeps the reflector at a distance from the display device, and collects the ambient light.
