Abstract: A CBR-based negotiation RBAC method for ubiquitous resources management is described. The method, which is applicable to serving servers, includes steps of inquiring for a similar case in a case base in order to obtain an initial case, performing a REUSE procedure or a REVISE negotiating procedure on the initial case to assign at least one appropriate role set consisting of a local role and a virtual role, performing a local role and virtual role fitting procedure to fit the local role and the virtual role, and performing a determining and retaining procedure to meet the requirements of users during the negotiation process.

Abstract: A novel method for detection of manufacture defects is disclosed. The invented method is designed to discover root cause machine sets that cause defects in product manufactured in a process wherein a plurality of machines is involved. The method includes obtaining manufacture data that relate to manufacture of products in the manufacture process, generating a candidate list of machine set by analyzing the manufacture data wherein the machine set includes machines relative to defects in the products, and identifying root cause machine sets from the list of machine set wherein the root cause machine sets include machines highly related to the defects.

Abstract: An object oriented knowledge base management system includes a knowledge based management module to coordinate one or more rule based application software programs (e.g., expert systems) through a knowledge based management and application inference. The knowledge based management module coordinates one or more database management modules, which includes one or more drama model format rule bases and one or more databases. A drama model format rule base stores dramas defined under particular drama model formats and provides the access of users to edit inference rules through a uniform format. Each drama comprises a group of inference rules and a group of roles, which function as objects of the inference rules. The inference relations may exist between or among dramas, and inheritance relations may exist between and among roles.
