  • Patent number: 5102605
Abstract: A method of making a molded article by injecting into a mold filled with reinforcing material a resin composition including (a) 40 to 80% by weight of a resin including an oligomer having a number average molecular weight of 900 to 3,000 in terms of polystyrene equivalent obtained by gel permeation chromatography and having two or more terminal (meth)acrylate groups and an unsaturated polyester, and (b) 20 to 60% by weight of methyl (meth)acrylate monomer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 21, 1991
Date of Patent: April 7, 1992
Assignee: Dainippon Ink and Chemicals, Inc.
Inventors: Katsuo Kagaya, Yoshifumi Hama, Shichinosuke Ito
  • Patent number: 5098950
Abstract: Disclosed is a thermosetting resin composition which includes(a) an unsaturated polyester,(b) a polymer having a (meth)acrylate group only at one or both terminals of its main chain,(c) a poly(meth)acrylate oligomer,(d) a styrene monomer, and(e) a methyl methacrylate monomer. Also, a method of molding the resin is disclosed, which includes dividing the thermosetting resin composition into two parts, adding a curing agent to one of the two parts and a curing accelerator to another to form two partial compositions, introducing the two partial compositions into a mold, and allowing the two partial compositions to mix with each other and cure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 15, 1990
Date of Patent: March 24, 1992
Inventors: Katsuo Kagaya, Tadao Saito, Shichinosuke Ito

  • Patent number: 4420601
Abstract: A thermoplastic polyurethan resin obtained by reacting (1) a polyol component with (2) an organic diisocyanate in a mole ratio, (1)/(2), of 0.8-1.3:0.5-1.2 in the presence, if desired, of a catalyst, said polyol component (1) comprising(A) a linear polyester polyol and/or polyether polyol having hydroxyl groups at both ends and/or (B) a diol free from a tertiary hydroxyl group, and(C) a low-molecular-weight polyol having at least one tertiary hydroxyl group (C-1), and/or a polyester polyol and/or polyether polyol having a molecular weight of 500 to 6,000 and containing hydroxyl groups at both ends and at least one tertiary hydroxyl group in the molecular chain (C-2) prepared from said low-molecular-weight polyol (C-1), the proportions of (A), (B) and (C) in said polyol component (1) being such that the ratio of (C) to the sum of (A), (B) and (C) is from 0.05 to 1.
