  • Patent number: 9383867
Abstract: Multiple sensor electrodes are formed such that they overlap a display panel, and each have an electrostatic capacitance that changes according to the user's touch. Furthermore, a proximity sensor electrode pair is formed as a transparent electrode such that they overlap the display panel. An electrostatic capacitance detection circuit detects change in the electrostatic capacitance of each sensor electrode due to the user's touch, thereby detecting a position touched by the user. A proximity detection circuit detects change in the electric field generated between the proximity sensor electrode pair due to the proximity of the user, thereby detecting the proximity of the user to the display panel. An electrostatic capacitance detection circuit is configured to have at least a component that is switchable between an operating state and a non-operating state. When detecting that the user is in proximity, this component transits from the non-operating state to the operating state.

  • Patent number: 8242947
Abstract: A remote controller has at least one input switch, and transmits a signal based on a state of the input switch to a target object. A main electrode pair is arranged as the input device and is configured such that inter-electrode distance varies in accordance with a pressing force. Plural sub electrode pairs are each arranged at positions different from the main electrode pair and are configured such that inter-electrode distance varies in accordance with a pressing force. The signal processor monitors a capacitance value of the main electrode pair and the plural sub electrode pairs, and performs predetermined signal processing in accordance with the capacitance value that has been detected. A transmitter transmits a control signal in accordance with the capacitance value of the main electrode pair to the target object.

  • Publication number: 20100052700
Abstract: A shield electrode is provided in parallel with a sensor electrode. A detecting circuit detects a capacitance formed thereby around the sensor electrode. A capacitance-voltage conversion circuit converts the capacitance into a voltage by repeating a predetermined sequence. A shield electrode drive unit switches an electric state of the shield electrode in synchronization with the predetermined sequence. The shield electrode drive unit switches an electric state of the shield electrode in accordance with an electric state of the sensor electrode.

  • Publication number: 20080123867
Abstract: A situation in which effect processing such as position adjustment of a virtual sound source located in a sound field does not synchronously match the timing of reproducing a sound is suppressed. With a sound source circuit 100, a FIFO memory stores the information that indicates a change in a virtual sound source located in a reproduced sound field and audio data. A control unit operates in cooperation with a 3D positioning unit which performs position adjustment processing for the audio data stored in the FIFO memory so as to adjust the position of the virtual sound source located in the reproduced sound field. With such an arrangement, a sound is reproduced according to the audio data subjected to the position adjustment. Upon detection of the aforementioned information, the control unit notifies the 3D positioning unit of the detection. At this time, an interruption signal that corresponds to the information may be transmitted to the 3D positioning unit via a dedicated signal line.

  • Patent number: 7312635
Abstract: A core unit implements a predetermined function. An I/O unit controls input from and output to the outside. The core unit and the I/O unit are subject to independent control for supply of power. When power is turned off in the core unit, a signal output from the I/O unit to the core unit is fixed at a low level, while power is maintained in the I/O unit. A first level shifter and a second level shifter are provided between the core unit and the I/O unit and cancel a difference in power supply voltage level between the units. Power is turned off in the first level shifter and the second level shifter when power is turned off in the core unit.
