Publication number: 20140087713Abstract: A control unit (13) controls a remote operation function unit (12) to allow accepting a remote operation on a mobile phone device (1) from an external on the condition that a telephone call using a telephone function unit (11) included in the mobile phone device (1) is initiated with a predetermined counterparty that is permitted for the remote operation. Further, the control unit (13) stops accepting the remote operation by the remote operation function unit (12) on the condition that the telephone call with the predetermined counterparty is terminated. Thus, for example, it is possible to appropriately start and stop the remote operation on the mobile phone device without excessively troubling a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2012Publication date: March 27, 2014Applicant: NEC CASIO MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS, LTD.Inventors: Naoki Shiota, Shigehiro Ichimura

Patent number: 7567800Abstract: In a content delivery system, a gatekeeping apparatus is connected to a network. Prior to the transmission of a request message to a content server, a user terminal transmits an enquiry message to the gatekeeping apparatus. In response, the gatekeeping apparatus makes a decision as to whether or not a content can be retrieved from the content server and performs control on the transmission of the request message according to the decision. If the decision indicates that a content can be retrieved, the user terminal transmits the request message to the content server. In a preferred embodiment, the gatekeeping apparatus makes comparison between user's preference data and server's policy data and determines whether the requested content can be retrieved from the server. A cache memory may be provided in the user terminal or gatekeeping apparatus to store past decisions regarding requested contents.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2002Date of Patent: July 28, 2009Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Akira Uematsu, Akihisa Kurashima, Kazuhiro Sakata, Shigehiro Ichimura

Patent number: 7428571Abstract: In response to a first location request message from a client terminal, a gateway stores the message and requests the location information of a target mobile terminal from a location information system. If a second location request message is received from other client terminal requesting the location information of the same mobile terminal while the initial client terminal is waiting for the requested information, the second location request message is stored. Reply messages are sent simultaneously to these client terminals when the requested information is received. In a modified embodiment, if location request messages are received from multiple client terminals for the same target mobile terminal, they are stored in a memory, which is then searched at periodic intervals. If the message of at least one client terminal is detected, the gateway acquires location information of the target terminal from the system and transmits a reply message to client terminals.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2003Date of Patent: September 23, 2008Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Shigehiro Ichimura

Publication number: 20080037062Abstract: The present invention proposes a printing system, printing method, and printing program for printing the content data of the website browsed by the terminal which mounted memory has a small capacity such as mobile phone. The mobile phone transmits the access information such as address information of the content data to be printed held in the web server to the print server; the print server access the web server based on the access information, downloads the content data to be printed and transmits the content data to the multi-function printer; and the multi-function printer prints the content data.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2007Publication date: February 14, 2008Applicant: NEC CORPORATIONInventors: Takayuki Omino, Shigehiro Ichimura

Patent number: 6573926Abstract: In a conference system, documents such as conference records used in the conference can be made to distribute efficiently without obstructing transmission of the real-time data such as cine image data. Hence, a broadcasting network 8 is provided in addition to communication lines 5, 6, and 7 connecting conference terminals 2, 3, and 4 used by users participating in the conference and a conference control device 1 with a function of distributing real-time data such as cine image data transmitted from the conference terminals 2, 3, and 4 to the other conference terminals 2, 3, and 4 participating in the conference, and each of the conference terminals 2, 3, and 4 is connected to the broadcasting network 8. The conference terminals 2 distributing the conference records to the other conference terminals 3, 4 distributes the conference records to the other destination conference terminals 3, 4 with broadcasting communication through the broadcasting network 8.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 1999Date of Patent: June 3, 2003Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Shigehiro Ichimura

Publication number: 20030084119Abstract: The position information processing terminal obtains a position of a user and when a current position of the user is inside of a predetermined region set in advance, refrains from transmitting position information to a server to make no request for position related information, thereby protecting privacy. In addition, switching position information of the user between transmission enabled and disabled every time the user comes in and out of a certain region realizes control of transmission/non-transmission of position information every time the user passes through a specific region.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2002Publication date: May 1, 2003Applicant: NEC CORPORATIONInventor: Shigehiro Ichimura

Publication number: 20030023378Abstract: In a local information server, a number of coordinate converters are respectively associated with positioning signals of different coordinate systems. Each converter performs a coordinate conversion on the associated positioning signal so that the latter is converted to a positioning signal of a prescribed coordinate system, so that when a positioning signal is received from a user terminal, it is supplied to one of the coordinate converters corresponding to its coordinate system. The converted positioning signal is used to retrieve local information from a database. The retrieved data is then transmitted to the user terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2002Publication date: January 30, 2003Inventor: Shigehiro Ichimura

Publication number: 20020152269Abstract: An information providing system modifies the position of a user terminal that accesses a server at the user terminal itself or an intervening device and the modified position is sent to the server. Accordingly, a possibility that the user terminal is identified from position information is substantially lowered, resulting in further enhanced privacy protection.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2002Publication date: October 17, 2002Inventor: Shigehiro Ichimura
