  • Patent number: 11549407
Abstract: The valve timing control unit includes a valve timing control mechanism that includes a driving rotary body, a driven rotary body, an electric motor and a deceleration gear each for setting the relative rotational phase of the driving rotary body and the driven rotary body, and a phase sensor unit that detects the actual phase of the driving rotary body and the driven rotary body. The valve timing control unit includes a controller that controls the electric motor to reduce a phase difference between the actual phase and a target phase, and the controller includes a swing controller that swings the target phase in vicinity of the target phase when the target phase is maintained and the actual phase having a fluctuation amount is held in a holding region, in which the fluctuation amount is less than a preset value.

  • Patent number: 10634017
Abstract: A variable valve timing control device includes a phase detecting portion; a phase control portion driving an electromagnetic solenoid while obtaining a detection signal detected by the phase detecting portion to set a spool to one of a phase control region and a lock region; and a boundary memory portion memorizing a boundary electric current value for referring a boundary between the phase control region and the lock region when the phase control portion operates a phase control; and a characteristic calculation portion obtaining the boundary electric current value by calculation, the boundary electric current value supporting the boundary between the phase control region and the lock region based on solenoid characteristic information of the electromagnetic solenoid and valve characteristic information of an electromagnetic control valve, the characteristic calculation portion memorizing the boundary electric current value to the boundary memory portion.

  • Publication number: 20170298788
Abstract: A valve opening/closing timing control apparatus includes: a driving side rotating body rotating synchronously with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a driven side rotating body included in the driving side rotating body and rotating integrally with a camshaft on a same axis as a rotation axis of the driving side rotating body; a hydraulic fluid control mechanism displacing a relative rotation phase between the driving side rotating body and the driven side rotating body by supplying a hydraulic fluid to one of an advance angle chamber and a retardation angle chamber; a lock mechanism; and first and second unlocking flow paths configured to communicate with the first pressure receiving surface. The lock mechanism includes a lock member including an engaging portion, a main body portion, and a first pressure receiving surface a biasing member, and a lock recess.
