  • Publication number: 20190033695
Abstract: A projector includes a first rotation mechanism that rotates a first optical element that affects light from a light source section, a first detector that detects a first rotational frequency of the first rotation mechanism, a second rotation mechanism that rotates a second optical element that affects the light from the light source section, a second detector that detects a second rotational frequency of the second rotation mechanism, a light modulator, a projection optical apparatus, and a control section. The control section causes the light source section to stop emitting the light in a case where at least one of the first rotational frequency and the second rotational frequency detected by the first detector and the second detector decreases to a value smaller than or equal to a non-zero threshold set in accordance with the rotational frequency.

  • Patent number: 9354495
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a projection display device comprises a device main body, a shutter that opens and closes an opening for ventilation, and an electricity storage section that stores power from an external power source. If an interruption detecting section detects a power supply from the external power source is stopped and a time in which the power supply is stopped is longer than a predetermined time, the interruption detecting section detects that the external power source is interrupted. If the interruption of the external power source is detected, a control section performs a control to reduce a power consumption of the device main body and a control to drive the shutter so that the shutter is closed by the power supplied from the electricity storage section.

  • Patent number: 9210781
Abstract: A light source device includes a plurality of light emitting devices connected in series, an open-circuit failure detecting section, a failure detection and maintenance section, and a short-circuiting section connected in parallel to at least one light emitting device among the plurality of light emitting devices. The open-circuit failure detecting section detects an open-circuit failure of the light emitting device connected in parallel. The failure detection and maintenance section shifts to, when the open-circuit failure detecting section detects the open-circuit failure, a circuit state during the open-circuit failure and maintains the circuit state to which the failure detection and maintenance section shifts. The short-circuiting section short-circuits, when the failure detection and maintenance section maintains the circuit state during the open-circuit failure, both ends of the light emitting device in which the open-circuit failure is detected.
