Patent number: 5995309Abstract: A method for magnetically recording/reproducing comprising recording an information signal by forming a pattern of a soft magnetic material in a magnetic recording medium; providing a magnetoeletric converting element in a place neighboring a face of forming the pattern of the magnetic recording medium on which the pattern is formed, applying a magnetic field to the pattern; and reproducing the information by detecting a variation of the magnetic field caused by the pattern of the soft magnetic material of the magnetic recording medium while relatively moving the magnetoelectric converting element and the magnetic recording medium.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1997Date of Patent: November 30, 1999Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shigehisa Suzuki, Tatsuya Fukami, Yoshio Fujii, Yuji Kawano, Yoshinobu Maeda

Patent number: 5065271Abstract: A small light-weight thin film magnetic head apparatus for a rigid disk or a floppy disc. The apparatus includes a magnetic head formed directly on a distal end of a suspension as a thin layer, one end of the suspension being supported by an arm. This magnetic head is very small-sized and light-weight and has a head gap in direct contact with a recording medium, increasing the recording density and the read/write speed. Because of its reduced weight of the thin film magnetic head, a remarkably improved degree of followability with respect to the recording medium can be achieved. A method of manufacturing this magnetic head apparatus is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tsukasa Matsuura, Jun Fujita, Manabu Uchizawa, Shigehisa Suzuki

Patent number: 4197566Abstract: First and second gimbal springs are used for following precisely a magnetic head slider held by a head holder on a recording surface of a rotating magnetic disc. The head slider is held on a front surface of the first gimbal spring at the center and a pivot is fitted on the center of the second gimbal spring and the end of the pivot is contacted with the rear surface of the first gimbal spring at the center and the first and second gimbal springs are in flat in a free condition. During the working time when contacting the head slider with the recording surface in a floating condition, the gimbal spring in the side of the recording surface is in substantially flat whereas during the non-working time, both gimbal springs are formed to expand to both sides.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1978Date of Patent: April 8, 1980Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shigehisa Suzuki, Mitsuo Inumochi
