  • Publication number: 20080286998
Abstract: A connecting apparatus includes equipment having a cabinet with an opening and a connector inside the cabinet. A module has an electrical circuit and a resilient conductor and is attachable to the cabinet through the opening and thereby pluggable to the equipment. When the module is plugged to the equipment, the electrical circuit of the module is connected to the connector of the equipment, the resilient conductor fills a gap in the opening between the module and the cabinet and the module and the cabinet is electrically connected, and static electricity charged on the module propagates through the resilient conductor to the cabinet.

  • Publication number: 20080240717
Abstract: Efficient absorption of radio wave emission can be ensured from a high frequency signal processing circuit in an optical transmitter/receiver module. The optical transmitter/receiver module pluggable to a communication device includes a housing having openings on an anterior and a posterior ends; an optical connector disposed at the anterior opening; a photoelectric converting unit that converts a wavelength-division multiplexed optical signal, that is input from an optical transmission line connected to the optical connector, into an electric signal; and a high frequency circuit board that performs high frequency signal processing of an electric signal converted by the photoelectric converting unit, whereinat the posterior opening, a connecting terminal of the high frequency circuit board is formed so that it is pluggable to a mother board of a communication device, and wherein radio wave absorbers are arranged in spaces between the top/bottom surfaces of the high frequency circuit board and the housing.

  • Patent number: 5875047
Abstract: An optical receiver unit has an optical receiver module which includes an opto-electric converter housed in a metal container, a printed-circuit board having power, signal and ground terminals connected to the opto-electric converter, a casing body which includes a board receptacle and a module receptacle, respectively for accommodating the printed-circuit board and the optical receiver module, and a cover for covering the casing body. The casing body and the cover are both molded out of synthetic resin and have respective, first and second metallized internal surfaces. The cover covers the casing body so that the second metallized internal surface of the cover contacts the first metallized internal surface of the casing body. The ground line is connected to the metal container of the optical receiver module.

  • Patent number: 5703991
Abstract: An optical part module has an optical amplification fiber in a small space without damage or losing its optical characteristics. An optical amplification fiber connects optical parts in the case. The optical amplification fiber has a predetermined length which creates a large play in length. A part of the optical amplification fiber creating the play in length is wound on the bobbin. The winding operation is performed while turning the bobbin upside down for each single turn of the winding so that twist generated in the optical fiber due to winding is canceled.
