  • Publication number: 20220119964
Abstract: An energy conversion system includes a fuel synthesis device, an H2O supply unit, a CO2 supply unit, and a supply control unit. The fuel synthesis device includes an electrolyte, and a pair of electrodes provided on both sides of the electrolyte. The H2O supply unit supplies H2O to the fuel synthesis device. The CO2 supply unit supplies CO2 to the fuel synthesis device. The supply control unit controls a supply of H2O and a supply of CO2. The fuel synthesis device electrolyzes H2O and CO2 using external electric power, and synthesizes a hydrocarbon using H2 and CO generated by electrolysis. The supply control unit starts the supply of H2O to the fuel synthesis device by the H2O supply unit after the supply of CO2 to the fuel synthesis device by the CO2 supply unit is started.

  • Publication number: 20220123338
Abstract: An energy management system is provided with a fuel synthesizing apparatus, a power generation apparatus, a CO2 recovering unit, a compressor, a CO2 storage unit, a CO2 pressure reducing unit and a heat recovery unit. The fuel synthesizing apparatus generates hydrocarbon from H2O and CO2 using externally supplied power. The power generation apparatus generates power using the hydrocarbon. The CO2 recovering unit recovers CO2 from an exhaust gas exhausted from the power generation apparatus during a power generation. The compressor compresses the recovered CO2. The CO2 storage unit stores the CO2 compressed by the compressor. The CO2 pressure reducing unit depressurizes the CO2 stored in the CO2 storage unit in order to supply the fuel synthesizing apparatus therewith. The heat recovery unit recovers heat from the CO2, the heat having been stored in the CO2 when compressed or depressurized.

  • Patent number: 10247697
Abstract: A gas sensor includes a solid electrolyte substrate that has oxygen-ion conductivity, and a counter plate, made of ceramic, that is arranged so as to face a first surface of the solid electrolyte substrate. The gas sensor further includes a first spacer, made of ceramic, that is held between the counter plate and the solid electrolyte substrate, a heater substrate, made of ceramic, that is arranged so as to face a second surface of the solid electrolyte substrate, and a second spacer, made of ceramic, that is held between the heater substrate and the solid electrolyte substrate. Of the counter plate, the sintered density of an inside portion that comes in contact with a measurement-gas chamber is 0.8 to 5.0% lower than the sintered density of an outside portion that comes in contact with the first spacer.
