  • Publication number: 20120282370
Abstract: Provided are a sparkling beverage having effectively improved foam properties and a method of producing the same. The sparkling beverage has improved foam properties through an increase in content of a hydrophobic polypeptide or contains a hydrophobic polypeptide in an amount of 1.1 g/L or more. When the sparkling beverage is a sparkling alcoholic beverage, a method of producing the sparkling alcoholic beverage includes: a pre-fermentation step (10) of preparing a pre-fermentation solution using a raw material containing barley; and a fermentation step (20) of conducting alcoholic fermentation by adding a yeast to the pre-fermentation solution, in which foam properties of the sparkling alcoholic beverage are improved by treating the barley with a protease.

  • Publication number: 20100093658
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a novel therapeutic agent that can reduce visceral fat accumulation to prevent or treat metabolic syndrome. In order to achieve this object, the invention provides a therapeutic agent for metabolic syndrome that comprises, as an active ingredient, dietary fiber aggregation in which water-soluble ?-glucan has the highest content. Particularly effective as the water-soluble ?-glucan is water-soluble ?-glucan having a ?-1,3 glycoside bond and ?-1,4 glycoside bond in the same molecule.

  • Publication number: 20100062089
Abstract: The present invention provides an ameliorative or preventive agent for metabolic syndrome comprising a barley bran or an ?-amylase-treated product thereof as an active ingredient. The present invention also provides an ameliorative or preventive agent for metabolic syndrome comprising a water-insoluble component of an ?-amylase-treated product of a barley bran as an active ingredient. These are naturally derived ameliorative or preventive agents for metabolic syndrome which can inhibit the accumulation of visceral fat to ameliorate or prevent metabolic syndrome.

  • Patent number: 7637831
Abstract: A power transmission mechanism of a model vehicle capable of mechanically performing accurate straight running and turning control without relying upon the output characteristic of each drive system in an RC tank having two drive systems. The power transmission mechanism comprises a motor (10) for traveling providing a drive force for traveling, a motor (30) for turning providing a drive force for turning, a left side differential gear (40) and a right side differential gear (50) to which the rotations of the motor (10) for traveling and the motor (30) for turning are transmitted, and a center differential gear (80) to which the rotation of the motor (30) for turning is transmitted. The turning is performed by using the left side differential gear (40), the right side differential gear (50), and the center differential gear (80).

  • Publication number: 20080096462
Abstract: A suspension structure that is easily processed and assembled, and by which production cost of the suspension structure can be reduced. A suspension structure (1) is installed at the inner bottom surface of a vehicle body (71). A bar-like member (20) is formed of a steel wire and has predetermined torsional elasticity. At both ends of the bar-like member (20), the steel wire is bent into an annular shape to form a first annular section (21) and a second annular section (22). The first annular section (21) is fixed to a projection section (75) on the inner bottom surface of the vehicle body (71). A pivot shaft (30) is attached to the second annular section (22). A swing arm (50) is attached to the other end side of the pivot shaft (30), and the swing arm (50) pivots together with the pivot shaft (30) in the range that the torsional elasticity of the bar-like member (20) allows.

  • Patent number: 5948650
Abstract: This invention is a method for identifying hop varieties based on polymorphism in genetic sequences of hop varieties. Specifically, polymorphic regions of hop DNA are amplified by performing a polymerase chain reaction using an identifying primer designed to amplify regions comprising polymorphism in the base sequences of different varieties, and the amplified DNA fragments are analyzed. In this way, hop varieties can simply and accurately identified.
