Abstract: A brake apparatus for winding a roll-screen is disclosed, which comprises a pipe for winding the roll-screen, a cylinder fixed coaxially within the pipe, a plurality of brake bodies in a specified construction, a fixing brake body also in a specified construction, a viscous fluid optionally filled within the cylinder, the coil springs serving as a one way spring clutch.The brake apparatus may be applied to any size of the roll-screen by varying the number of the brake bodies.

Abstract: A coupling structure for a screen with a fixing rod comprises the screen having at its end a predetermined length of an accessory section provided with a pair of rigid engaging plates, and the fixing rod having a pair of curved side walls separated by an intermediate partition for forming a pair of coupling chambers. The pair of rigid engaging plates holding the accessory section therebetween are inserted and propped within the coupling chamber. The accessory section has a length enough to cover an outer face of the side wall for obtaining a good appearance.

Abstract: A roller screen unit including an outer sleeve, an intermediate sleeve loosely received in the outer sleeve, a core member loaded with an elongated spiral spring and received in the intermediate sleeve, a clutch mechanism connected to one end of the core member in association with the outer sleeve and a screen member wound around the outer roller sleeve is disclosed. The clutch mechanism includes a stator member and a rotator member turnably mounted on the stator member through one or more ball members to perform a function of the clutch on operation of the unit.

Abstract: A joint unit for coupling hollow frame element including one connection members which are provided with at least two or more separated contacting sections with an inner wall of the frame element wherein one of the contacting sections is twisted against the other contacting section to obtain a function of torsional moment for rigid fit of the connection member to the frame element at more than two positions therein.

Abstract: A bracket unit for suspending a shaft end comprising essentially a bearing body which is provided with a curved recess for guiding and receiving the shaft end and with mounting tabs. The bearing body may be used as a bracket alone or in combination with a suspension means constructed to be coupled with the bearing body.
