    Abstract: This invention is intended to enable the development of and provide rice flour that allows easy production of bread made from 100% rice flour that raises well and is finely textured at a bakery or in a home and a method for producing bread made from 100% rice flour using such rice flour.     Abstract: An engine intake system including a supercharger of a type wherein the intake air drawn from the intake air inlet port is compressed by the pressure of the exhaust gas before it is discharged through the intake air outlet port. An exhaust gas recirculation passage is provided between the exhaust passage upstream of the supercharger and the intake passage downstream of the supercharger. The recirculation passage can be used for decreasing the pressure difference between the exhaust gas and the intake air to thereby minimize the engine pumping loss. Further, the recirculation passage can be used for recirculating the exhaust gas to the intake passage to thereby decrease nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas.

    Abstract: An engine has an output shaft which is connected with a generator and a motor. A control device is provided to operate the generator in a high output torque period and to operate the motor in a low output torque period in an operating cycle of the engine. Thus, the generator applies a negative torque to the output shaft whereas the motor applies a positive torque to the output shaft to thereby moderate the output torque fluctuations.

    Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying device for use with a diesel engine comprising a filter block disposed in an engine exhaust passage for collecting exhaust gas particulates, and a heater for incinerating the collected exhaust gas particulates. The filter block has parallel channels defined therein and separated from one another by porous partition walls, some of the channels being closed at their inlet ends with blind plugs while the other channels are closed at their outlet ends with blind plugs. The heater is supported by the blind plugs.

    Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system for a diesel engine comprising an EGR control valve for regulating the flow of exhaust gases to be recirculated from an engine exhaust system back to an engine air intake system. When the exhaust gas recirculation is to be interrupted, the EGR control valve is closed a predetermined time after the opening of a throttle valve used in the air intake system for regulating the flow of air towards the engine. For this purpose, delay valves are utilized in association with the throttle valve and the EGR control valve.
