  • Patent number: 7088314
Abstract: The present invention relates to an AC drive surface discharge type plasma display panel having an isosceles delta array type pixel. The background art has a problem of being apt to cause a wrong writing discharge and having a narrow writing voltage margin. Then, in the present invention, transparent electrodes for X electrode (T3, T4) in first and second pair subpixel regions (PSPR1, PSPR2) of an isosceles delta array type pixel (P1) are provided at portions farther away from a first write electrode (Wj(B)) in an isolated subpixel region (ISPR). Specifically, a central axis of the third transparent electrode (T3) along a vertical direction (v) is positioned closer to an extending portion (WAE) of a second write electrode (Wj(A)) from a vertical direction central axis of the first pair subpixel region (PSPR1).

  • Patent number: 7023143
Abstract: A ballast for a vehicle metal halide lamp is simplified using a DC-AC one-step-boost high frequency ballast system. To satisfy requirements specific to a metal halide lamp, a discharge developing capacitor is installed on a primary side of a transformer in parallel with a DC power supply, ensuring discharge development after a breakdown. To reduce the size and increase the operating voltage of the transformer, a booster circuit and voltage-doubler circuit are installed on the primary side and secondary side of the transformer, respectively. To reduce the size of the transformer and achieve a stable discharge, the ballast frequency is swept within a range between the specified minimum frequency and maximum frequency so that the center frequency is from 80 kHz to 120 kHz, and the same frequency is unsustained for more than 10 msec.

  • Patent number: 6945060
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning system is capable of learning preferences for a plurality of passengers, altering control characteristics of air conditioning means based on the results of learning, and automatically controlling the system. The system is capable of adjusting a temperature separately and independently for the left and right sides of a passenger compartment, and stores a temperature setting map of preferences of respective passengers for the Dr side and Pa side. Temperature set points are used for calculating blowing temperatures and determining opening degrees of air mix dampers. If a set point temperature is changed by a manual setting, the temperature-setting map is altered and restored by learning such change, and thus the temperature-setting map can be updated to reflect preferences of each passenger for each of the Dr side and Pa side.

  • Publication number: 20050179406
Abstract: A discharge lamp ballast circuit is provided which can prolong the life of a discharge lamp, and reduce the size and cost of the ballast circuit. It generates from an AC voltage boosted by a DC-AC inverter circuit a DC voltage higher than the breakdown voltage of an HID lamp, or a superimposed voltage in which a pulsating component is superimposed on the DC voltage, and starts the discharge by applying the DC voltage or the superimposed voltage to the HID lamp. It can make the life of the HID lamp longer than that of the case where a high voltage short pulse is applied to the HID lamp.

  • Patent number: 6825835
Abstract: A display device includes a PDP having sub-pixels (C) arranged in a delta configuration and driven by a sub-field gradation method. In an odd-numbered field, three sub-pixels (C22, C31, C33) constitute one pixel (P) (in a first display mode). In an even-numbered field, three sub-pixels (C31, C33, C42) constitute one pixel (P) (in a second display mode). The pixel (P) including the sub-pixel (C31) for emitting red (R) and the sub-pixel (C33) for emitting blue (B) selects the sub-pixels (C22, C42) alternately as the sub-pixel (C) for emitting green (G) on a field-by-field basis. This displaces the position of the pixel (P) field by field.

  • Patent number: 6761214
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioner has an actuator for driving an air mixing door and various mode switching doors. An automatic range and a manual range are set in different operating angle ranges of the actuator. In the automatic range, an air outlet mode is automatically switched in accordance with an opening degree of the air mixing door. On the other hand, in the manual range, a multi-mode or a defroster mode is manually set, regardless of the opening degree of the air mixing door. In the manual range, air is simultaneously blown from all openings such as a face opening, a foot opening and a defroster opening in the multi-mode, and air is blown from the defroster opening in the defroster mode.
