    Abstract: Provided is a method of expressing a recombinant protein having sialic acid added thereto in insect cells, which is advantageous in administration to animals. In this method, a recombinant protein carrying a sugar chain having sialic acid added thereto is expressed in an insect or insect cells, including suppressing, inhibiting or eliminating N-acetylglucosaminidase activity inherent in the insect cells.
