  • Publication number: 20030142352
Abstract: A printing system that allows printing of a print object stored in a device (a print data supply device) other than a print control device for issuing a print instruction is provided. For that purpose, the printing system of the present invention includes a controller (11), an HDD unit (12) and a printer unit (13). The HDD unit (12) holds a print object to be printed. The controller (11) issues a print command to the printer unit (13) for acquiring the print object stored in the HDD unit (12) for printing. The printer unit (13), by requesting the HDD unit (12) to transmit the print object according to the parameters specified by the print command, acquires the print object stored in the HDD unit (12) and prints the acquired print object.

  • Publication number: 20030142349
Abstract: An HDD unit 12 holds a print object. A controller 11 issues to a printer unit 13 a print command of acquiring and printing the print object stored in the HDD unit 12, and has the printer unit 13 receive data in which link path information to a file to be printed is described via a connection established between the HDD unit 12 and the printer unit 13. The printer unit 13 captures and prints the print object stored in the HDD unit 12 by requesting the HDD unit 12 to send the print object which is uniquely specified with the link path information, using attribute information which is obtained by inquiring the connection status.

  • Publication number: 20030002056
Abstract: A print image expansion section 209 creates print image data from XML source and font data, and outputs this print image data to an output switching section 210. The print image expansion section 209 also outputs size information for the created print image data to a conversion ratio calculation section 214. The conversion ratio calculation section 214 calculates a conversion ratio indicating the size ratio for converting print image data to preview data based on preview screen information and printing condition information, and outputs this conversion ratio to an image conversion section 211. The image conversion section 211 converts the print image data to preview data, and outputs this preview data to an interface section 201 via a buffer 212. The conversion ratio calculated by the conversion ratio calculation section 214 is used as the ratio for converting the print image data to preview data.

  • Publication number: 20020171872
Abstract: An image information processing apparatus and image information processing method that make it possible to print all or some of a related plurality of screens by means of a single operation, and to greatly reduce the time and trouble required for printing. In the present invention, link destinations are searched for sequentially using link information set in BML files composing data broadcast screens, objects of printing are extracted, and the file names of the extracted objects of printing are stored. Also, a DII message in the data carousel method is analyzed, all file names composing a data broadcast program are obtained, and the obtained file names are stored.

  • Patent number: 6428613
Abstract: One object is to provide a curing accelerator which does not contain a lead soap, but has a curing property comparable to or surpassing that of a curing accelerator which contains a lead soap, and which does not color the coating. Another object is to minimize the amount of the cobalt soap if such is used. The curing accelerator for a resin having an unsaturated fatty acid group in its molecules contains a cobalt soap (A), a manganese soap (B), and an amino alcohol (C).

  • Patent number: 6086738
Abstract: The present invention provides a record sheet used in an electro-coagulation printing method for forming characters and images on a cylinder as an electrode with an ink which coagulates with electric charge and for transferring the characters and images to the record sheet, wherein the wet time is 15 milliseconds or less, obtained from the absorption curve of pure water measured by a dynamic scanning absorptometer. Preferably, the record sheet has 5 ml/m.sup.2 s.sup.-1/2 or more absorption coefficient, and more preferably, has contact ratio measured by a specular reflection smoothness tester under a pressure of 40 kg/cm.sup.2 with a ray having a wavelength of 0.5 .mu.m is 40% or more. The record sheet can be used for various print sheets, in particular, for business form sheets and newspaper sheets.

  • Patent number: 5271631
Abstract: A magnetic fluid seal is improved by coating parts of the sealing mechanism and/or adjacent surfaces with a fluorine-containing surfactant as an oil-repelling layer. The surfactant is effective to prevent the spread of the oil-based magnetic fluid into interior mechanisms of the sealed apparatus, which may typically require a high degree of cleanliness.

  • Patent number: 5215313
Abstract: A magnetic fluid sealing device is provided for sealing a gap between a first member and a second member movable relative to each other. The device has a magnetic fluid and a magnet for retaining the magnetic fluid in the gap. A two-dimensionally bonded monomolecular layer is formed as an oil-repelling layer from a coupling agent on at least an intermediate surface area of at least one of the first and second members, which intermediate surface area is located between a fluid-deposited surface area and a fluid-free surface area.
