  • Patent number: 9505081
Abstract: A manufacturing method for an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint includes forming a cup member and a shaft member, forming a joining hole in a thickness of a bottom portion to prepare the cup member as a finished component, and forming a joining outer surface on an end portion of the shaft member to be joined onto the bottom portion of the cup member to prepare the shaft member as a finished component. The method also includes fitting the joining hole of the cup member and the joining outer surface of the shaft member as the finished components to each other, and welding a fitting portion between the joining hole and the joining outer surface through irradiation of a beam from an inner side of the cup member, a diameter of the fitting portion being an equal dimension for each joint size.

  • Patent number: 8979464
Abstract: Provided is a production facility which allows a worker to perform manual works such as restoration, setting change, and manufacturing, without entering an action area of a robot. The production facility includes a casing, a swaging as a dedicated device housed in the casing, for performing swaging using a boot band, and an internal transfer device. A human work area on the front side of the production facility and an action area of a transfer robot on the back side of the production facility are separated by the swaging device and the casing. The worker positioned on the front side of the production facility operates swaging device without entering the action area of the transfer robot so that the transfer robot need not be stopped when the work is performed.

Abstract: Provided is a production facility which allows a worker to perform manual works such as restoration, setting change, and manufacturing, without entering an action area of a robot. The production facility (1) includes a casing (11), a swaging device (12) as a dedicated device housed in the casing (11), for performing swaging using a boot band, and an internal transfer device (13). A human work area (F) on the front side of the production facility (1) and an action area (B) of a transfer robot (2) on the back side of the production facility (1) are separated by the swaging device (12) and the casing (11). The worker positioned on the front side of the production facility (1) operates swaging device (12) without entering the action area (B) of the transfer robot (2) so that the transfer robot (2) need not be stopped when the work is performed.

  • Patent number: 6382394
Abstract: A parts aligning apparatus that has a plurality of parts carried on a track located upstream of the apparatus. A first track of the apparatus carries the parts thereon. When a sensing device senses a particular face of each part is contacting the first track, an air jet device emits a burst of compressed air, causing the part on the first track to turn over onto a second track so that the particular face faces upward, or away from the track surface. During this process, the part turns around a common apex between the first and second tracks, which serves as a support point.
