Abstract: A reproducing apparatus includes: a reproducing unit for reproducing, from a recording medium on which main image for normal reproduction data and specific reproduction image data made up of a plurality of blocks each including first data and second data are recorded, the main image data and the specific reproduction image data; a detecting unit for detecting an error in the first data and an error in the second data in the respective blocks of the specific reproduction image data that is reproduced by the reproducing unit, independently; and an interpolation processing unit for interpolating independently the first data and the second data in which the error is detected by the detecting unit, by selectively using a plurality of interpolating methods.
