  • Publication number: 20010040946
Abstract: A communication apparatus receives the identification information of a partner station, and performs a communication operation in accordance with the received identification information. A first detecting unit detects a calling signal. An identification information receiving unit detects the identification information of a calling party upon detection of the calling signal, and a second detecting unit detects whether or not the terminal of the calling party is a data communication terminal. A registration unit registers the identification information of the partner station in a memory, so that whether the partner station is a speech or data communication terminal can be discriminated later. A control unit checks if the identification information receiving unit receives the identification information of the calling party.

  • Publication number: 20010013856
Abstract: A video display apparatus comprising a video display device for visually presenting a video image thereon; a light source turned on by discharge and displaying the video image, which is being presented visually on the video display device, on a screen by irradiation of light; and a system controller for putting out the light source after a lapse of a predetermined delay time from input of a command to switch off a power source. There is also provided a method of preventing inadvertent switch-off of the light source in such a video display apparatus. Even if the power source is switched off inadvertently, the light source is not put out at once and the video image can still be displayed continuously thereon by switching on a power key immediately within the predetermined delay time.

  • Patent number: 5755627
Abstract: A metallic golf club head that has an end portion, on which a neck part is integrally formed, and a hollow portion therein. The golf club head further has a face member, which is formed integrally with the neck part by forging, and a hollow member that is welded to a peripheral edge portion of the face member and, with the face position, composes the hollow portion. The face member is provided with a face portion, whose front surface is a face surface and whose rear surface is formed flat, and a raised portion formed like a ring in such a way as to project from a peripheral edge part of the face portion in a direction opposite to a direction to which the face surface is faced. A rear-end peripheral edge part of the raised portion is butt-welded to a front-end peripheral edge part of the hollow member.

  • Patent number: 4737860
Abstract: There is an image recording apparatus using a thermal head for use in a facsimile apparatus or the like. This recording apparatus comprises: an input device to input a plurality of kinds of image data; a discriminating device to determine the kind of image which is inputted to the input device; a thermal head as a recording device to reproduce the image inputted to the input device; and a control unit to variably control the energy which is supplied to the thermal head in order to make constant the recording density of the thermal head in accordance with the kind of input image data. When the input image is a half tone image, the control unit increases the supply energy to the thermal head as compared with the case of a simple binary image. When the resolution of the input image is high, the control unit reduces the supply energy to the thermal head than that when the resolution is low. The supply energy is reduced in the case of a copy image than that in the case of a received image.
