  • Patent number: 4248523
Abstract: An electrophotographic copying apparatus equipped with an improved copy paper cutting arrangement in which a distance between an exposure position and a transfer position along a photosensitive drum is made larger than a distance between a copy paper cutting position and the transfer position so as to actuate a cutter device after termintion of the exposure through a cutter operating mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4235548
Abstract: An electrostatic latent image transfer type copying apparatus which has a photoconductive member, a system for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductive member, an image transfer system for conducting transfer material having an insulating dielectric layer coated over an electrically conductive layer into contact with the photoconductive member for transferring the latent image onto said transfer material, a transporter for the transfer material to transport it along a predetermined path to the image transfer system, a member such as a relatively sharp edge member like a cutter provided along the path and below which the insulating dielectric layer side of the transfer material passes, and an insulating member provided adjacent the sharp edge member for preventing the surface of transfer material from contacting the sharp edge member as the transfer material is transported, whereby the contact of the sharp edge member with the surface of transfer material which causes frictional charging on

  • Patent number: 4077712
Abstract: A developing device employing developing solution for use in an electrophotographic copying apparatus, which developing device includes a pair of stirring impellers rotatably disposed at the bottom of a developing tank and a plurality of pairs of copy paper feeding and electrode rollers immersed in the developing solution above the impellers, with one of the roller pairs being associated for simultaneous rotation with the impellers for efficient circulation of the developing solution, and for rapid and uniform dispersion of toner particles in the developing solution.

  • Patent number: 4048666
Abstract: In an electric safety switch circuit for use in apparatus having at least one safety switch for detecting at least one abnormal condition of the apparatus, switching elements are connected between a power source and the apparatus. The voltage of the main power source is transformed to a lower voltage and the switching elements are opened or closed by control circuitry in the low voltage circuit. The at least one safety switch is connected to the voltage transformer and the control circuitry such that the actuation of the at least one safety switch upon detection thereof of an abnormal condition actuates the control circuitry to open the switching elements and disconnect the apparatus from the power source. In one embodiment a primary switch is interconnected between the power source and the electric safety switch circuit, and in a modified embodiment the primary switch is connected in the electric safety switch circuit itself.
