  • Patent number: 7833052
Abstract: A connector for a coaxial cable has a connector body and a securing ring. The connector body includes a tubular insertion section that is insertable between an insulation member around a core conductor of the coaxial cable and a woven conductor around the insulation member, a flange section that is provided around the insertion section and with which both the woven conductor of the coaxial cable and a cover member around the woven conductor come into contact when the insertion section is inserted in the coaxial cable to position the insertion section, and an annular fitting section that is provided at the insertion section, on the opposite side of the coaxial cable, and into which an object to be connected is insertable. The securing ring is used to pressure-bond and fix the coaxial cable to the insertion section from the periphery of the coaxial cable after the insertion section of the connector body is inserted in the coaxial cable.

  • Patent number: 7047555
Abstract: In order to correctly perform frequency conversion without using a pilot signal from an external system in a CATV system in which an upward signal is converted to a high frequency in-building upward signal using an up-converter and the in-building upward signal is converted to the original upward signal using a down-converter, there is proposed a down-converter provided with a reference oscillation circuit for generating a reference signal with a frequency lower than that of a downward signal or the in-building upward signal. The in-building upward signal is frequency-converted using the reference signal and the reference signal is transmitted to a transmission line of the terminal side. A bi-directional amplifier on the transmission line can not only amplify the downward signal and the in-building upward signal bi-directionally but also transmit the reference signal to an up-converter of the terminal side.

  • Patent number: 7012496
Abstract: The invention provides a noise elimination device that can be installed easily on a coaxial cable and that can effectively eliminate noise from both the center conductor and the outer conductor. Coaxial connectors 2 and 3 are provided on both ends of a tube-shaped housing 1 made of an insulator, and a coil made by winding a coaxial cable of thin diameter is around an open magnetic ferrite core is disposed inside the housing 1 and connected to the connectors 2 and 3 at the two ends. The earth-side connector thickness of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable and the connector as well as all earth-side conductors, such as shield members 7 connecting the connectors with the outer conductors of the coaxial cable, is at least 0.1 mm.

  • Patent number: 5442349
Abstract: A navigation system for vehicle is provided with a route determination process by which a route is determined intersection by intersection. When a starting point and driving direction are input, a road is selected, determined as the route to take, and indicated as the route on a display. A further road, of the same category as the road determined, is determined as a further route. Automatic route determination is thus consecutively effected from the starting point toward a destination. When cancellation of the determined route is instructed, the route is canceled intersection by intersection. When the cancellation is finished or if no road can be selected, the navigation system resumes its operation recognizing the end of the determined route newly as starting point.

  • Patent number: 5408415
Abstract: A navigation system for motor vehicles determines a pie-shaped sector zone for triggering an indication of a route intersection on a displayed road map. The zone is defined by a pie-shaped sector of a circle having the intersection at its center, and provided with a radius determined with respect to the velocity of the vehicle. When the vehicle enters the zone corresponding to the vehicle's velocity, it is determined that the vehicle is approaching the intersection, and a next intersection to be passed by the vehicle is indicated on the road map. The driver can thus be guided along a predetermined route.

  • Patent number: 5398189
Abstract: A navigation system for motor vehicles determines a plurality of zones for determining the approach of the vehicle to a route intersection. The zones are pie-shaped sectors of circles having the next intersection at its center and having radii that vary with respect to the vehicle velocity. The zones lie along an approach course the vehicle takes in approaching the next intersection. When the vehicle enters any one of the zones thus determined, one of the zones is selected according to the current velocity of the vehicle such that the higher the vehicle velocity is, the larger the radius of the circle corresponding to the selected zone is. The driver is then informed that the vehicle is approaching the intersection and is informed of the direction to take at the intersection.
