  • Publication number: 20140337418
Abstract: An information providing system includes: a server device that is communicably connected to an external server device, the external server device accumulating review management information that includes review information that indicates a review of a piece of content by a first user and first identification information that corresponds to the first user and providing a first service that includes a browsing service that makes the review of the piece of content by the first user browsable, the server device providing a second service to each second user; and a terminal device that the second user operates. Upon receiving a request from the terminal device, the server device acquires and sends, to the terminal device, review management information regarding a piece of content based on a favorite piece of content that has been registered beforehand with the external server device by the user. The terminal device controls a screen display based on the received review management information.

  • Patent number: 8465360
Abstract: In a shooting game device capable of having more than one player play a game, stop control module (M1), generates first stop information (ST1) upon detecting that a first gun unit (30) points out of the screen, and generates second stop information (ST2) upon detecting that a first gun unit (40) points out of the screen. A virtual view position movement module (M2) moves a first virtual view position for a first player and a second virtual view position for a second player at the predetermined speed, but stops the movement of the first virtual view position upon detecting first stop information (ST1) and stops the movement of the second virtual view position upon detecting second stop information (ST2). An image generation module (M4) generates a first image (GD1) for the first player and a second image (GD2) for the second player in a virtual space based on first position information (PS1) showing the first virtual view position and second position information (PS2) showing the second virtual view position.

  • Patent number: 6863609
Abstract: A 3D game machine includes a monitor for displaying images, a game control unit for controlling progress of a game, and an image control unit for generating and displaying a 3D image viewed from a viewing point of a simulated camera on a screen of the monitor. A transverse position and a height position of the head of a game player located in a play area before the screen of the monitor are detected using one ultrasonic transmitter and two ultrasonic receivers, and the viewing point of the simulated camera is so moved as to follow a displacing direction and a displacing amount of the detected position of the game player's head, thereby allowing the viewing point of the simulated camera to follow free movements of the game player so that images viewed from the viewing point intended by the game player are actively displayed.

  • Patent number: 6767282
Abstract: A golf game device that generates a natural interest in golf without taking up a large amount of space. A player swings a grip which is shaped like the grip of a golf club. On a first monitor, a virtual club head moving in accordance with the movement of the grip is displayed. An imaginary shaft extends from the grip, and the virtual club head is displayed as if it were attached to the end of the shaft. The player takes aim at his target direction (to which a ball is to be hit) by viewing scenery displayed on a second monitor, and hits a ball displayed in his underfoot view on the first monitor. The front view and underfoot view change according to the position where a virtual player stands in the game space. Accordingly, the player can play with the sense that he is actually playing a golf course.
