  • Patent number: 6011544
Abstract: When coordinate data are entered from a tablet with a pen, the pen is operated on the tablet while depressing a predetermined key of a keyboard. A signal generated by the depression of the predetermined key is supplied to a keyboard controller. Upon reception of the signal, the keyboard controller stops sending key code data entered from the keyboard to an input/output controller. In this manner, undesirable data entry due to the improper operation of the keyboard is prevented when coordinate data are entered with the pen.

  • Patent number: 5978922
Abstract: A computer system having a hibernation-type resume function which is performed by using an HDD. Provided on the hard disk of the HDD are storage area for storing ordinary data. Also provided on the hard disk is a resume storage area which is large enough to save resume data required to perform a resume operation. The resume storage area is controlled by a BIOS provided for performing the resume operation, not by the operating system (OS) of the computer system. The BIOS accesses the resume storage area when the power supply to the system is switched off, thereby saving the resume data in a resume data memory.

  • Patent number: 5058360
Abstract: A filling and sealing apparatus has a temporary spout attaching device for temporarily attaching a spout onto a wall of a package having one end open and the other end closed, a spout fusing device for fusing the temporarily attached spout to the package, a filling device for filling the package with fluid through the open end thereof and a package sealing device for sealing the open end of the package filled with liquid. The spout fusing device includes an anvil adapted to be inserted into the package having the temporarily attached spout, a ultrasonic fusing device arranged in facing relation to the anvil and a temperature regulation device for supplying temperature regulation fluid through the anvil. The anvil may be formed with a groove in one of side surfaces thereof for receiving the temporarily mounted spout. The spout fusing device has a ultrasonic vibration horn.

  • Patent number: 4658226
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay includes a moving block assembly which is selectively attracted by the energization of the electromagnet in the relay and moves in a direction perpendicular to the axis of an iron core within the electromagnet, thus actuating a movable contact support. The moving block and the movable contact support slide together, thus preventing wobbling of the movable block assembly within the relay.
